Esther chapter 5 is where we start to get the to turning point in the story. Esther risks her life to go before the king to plead for her people - only, she doesn't immediately present her ultimate request. First, she asks to have a banquet with the king and Haman. Simultaneously, despite being honored by the king, Haman is growing more and more infuriated that he doesn't have any affect on Mordecai - whether to intimidate him or inspire awe. Through the unfolding of these events, God is meticulously setting the stage for the dramatic and ironic turn of events that is soon to come. Comment below something new you learned from this Esther 5 Bible study! 💛

It's all been so wonderful listening and following kaci through this study.it amazes me that her name wasn't Esther and could you imagine going befor your husband whom you haven't seen in 30 days and making request to him. Wow

The standout point I learned from this study was the realization that we all repeatedly make the mistake of looking for peer or public approval and that is never going to fulfill us. What a wonderful reminder to set our sights on appeasing God not man. 😊

I am blessed by the link you make to relate most of the phrases in this chapter to Jesus, for example when Esther says if I perish I perish to implies Jesus offered himself for us and the rage that Haman has against Mordecai to show how men were raged to crucify Jesus. God bless you Kaci for this preparation. I am always blessed.

Something that really stuck out to me is how Haman wanted to be either worshiped or feared by Mordecai, I think it is in the nature of man to want to be worshiped or feared due to our deep desire to be like God: to be set apart and holy. BUT those who truly want to be God-like or Christ-like, do so by mirroring love, not by selfish desire or acts of pride.

I just recently found your channel, I really appreciate your content, I’ve been binging Esther to catch up. I am new to Christ and I would love to develop a good understanding of the Bible and draw close to God using his word. I really struggle with trying to figure out how to do that exactly. I have the Bible app and I am doing the Bible in a year plan, and I am over halfway through it. I am proud of myself for reading the Bible daily, I’m a little frustrated about the fact that I’m not really getting anything from it. Videos like this really help me understand what was going on in the time and how it can be applied to my life now. I just wanted to say thank you and I appreciate your videos and explanations.

What a lovely comment! Xo Sorry to jump on in with a reply but my advice is to try reading the New Testament first. This will give you some really good content to start with that's really clear and easy to draw parallels to in real life. Knowing and learning more about God is a journey that you're on and the Bible is a very long and very complex book with alot of layers lol, but remember He lives first in you and your heart so don't put so much pressure on youraelf. God is everywhere and all these people in the Bible didn't have that same Bible to read in their day, they came to God through the everyday moments in their lives. 😘 He will always meet you exactly where you are at, Bible or not, so just reach for Him in that way and you will be absolutely fine xo

I love that you talked about how his family thought they were helping him but we’re enabling his pride. Which ended up causing his fall. I’ve been having that problem lately where my family wants me to agree with a situation but when I evaluate the situation they’re part of the problem. Usually I don’t know what to say. Whenever I tell them the truth they get upset with me. So I just stay quiet.

It is powerful how God's favor was upon Esther. Even from the beginning how queen Vashiti lost that favor until Esther was honoured, now how she entered a space that anyone who entered would be killed. I am just amazed by the honour, favor and recognition God gave her.

Sometimes I find the parables of the Bible hard to read, but I'm so grateful that you broke this down so perfectly!!! Down to the narcissistic behavior of Haman.🙏

We don't know weather she planed the second feast or lost her nerve during the first one, and needed a second to accomplish her goal. It doesn't say her reasoning behind it.careful. we put her in the best light in the situation witch is a human trait. regardless God's will is done, and the gallows were made.this is a amazing book, and your doing a splendid job. Keep working for the kingdom and pressing forward. God bless.

God bless you for all you do You are really touching lives with this bible study . I got some lessons from this chapter I want to share 1.We need to plan..in our daily living and activities 2.We should always work with God’s leading..be led by the spirit to know the right times to do things like Esther did by not asking her petition immediately 3.Don’t show your process but results …if Esther had prolly said anything in this chapter about her petition,Haman could have destroyed it.Let your results speak for itself.

I havent been studying my Bible daily as i should. With your channel and another one i find that studying with another person brings to light things that could be missed or different opinions or even interpretation. I love your channel. I love how Mordecai doesn’t even acknowledge Haman's presence. Now as far as the gallows, could he possibly have found a tall enough tree and had it trimmed to make the gallows for hanging Mordecai?
