ESTONIAN TRAVEL - Lahemaa National Park, Jägala Waterfall & TALLINN
Part 2 of our final in our road trip series around Estonia! After staying overnight in Laheema National Park we spent the morning exploring the villages of Kasmu and Viinistu then the northern end of the Pärispea peninsula - Purekkari Telkimisala, we also checked out Kolga manor, all here in part 1: • UNKNOWN ESTONIA - Expl...
After Kolga manor we drove over to Viru Bog to hike along the 6km boardwalk and forest trail. It was beautiful and so peaceful! We didn’t swim in this bog as it wasn’t quite as warm as the day we swam in a bog in Sooma National Park: • BRITS in a BOG! We wen...
The trail and watch tower allows you to really take in the unique landscape and as we walked along the boardwalk and into the forest it began to rain! Definitely signifying the end of our summer road trip around Estonia but as ever we were undeterred and made a quick stop off at Jagala waterfall on our way back to Tallinn. We finish the video arriving back into Tallinn after leaving the city over a month ago to tour the country. We spent the next week enjoying living in the heart of Tallinn Old Town, a place that now feels like a second home to us!

We had no idea a bog would even be a place to visit until we stayed in Estonia and everyone kept saying we need to visit a bog. Now we have been to a few and even swam in one, they’re beautiful! 🤩

Happy New Year! The hike along the boardwalk is so beautiful even in the rain. So convenient there are ramps at the viewing platform...it works well with strollers as well! 😊 The drone shots over the bogs are amazing...they are like mirrors...so gorgeous that you can see the sky and the clouds reflected. Jagala Waterfall is magnificent...definitely not a trickle. 😂 I can’t wait to see your upcoming adventures!

There are a lot of others bogs besides Viru and Sooma in Estonia (link: loodusegakoos.ee/where-to-go ). Estonian people have prerogative every weekend to visit new bog area ). As of waterfall, the biggest waterfall is Keila-Joa near Tallinn along beautiful Keila river area and natural forest park (link: www.visitestonia.com/en/keila-waterfall )
