Thanks for the video. I intend to do the train ride as well as go to the post office. Is walking the only way to get there and which station did you alight and return to? Was it the National Park station?

Wow the landscape and salt pools look amazing. The quad biking looked fun and a great way to see the scenery. I’ve only been on a quad bike once and got stuck in a field! Haha! 😂 You’ve both inspired me to want to have another go and hopefully not get stuck next time! 😂 Can’t wait to see where you’re off to next! 😊

Aw fantastic video! So glad you got to visit Machu Picchu. It is spectacular up there. I did the 4 day hike on the Inca Trail. That was tough, but well worth it! I always wondered what the bus must be like. The road up looks very twisty! Can’t wait to see where you go next! 😊
@TideKnotTravellers13 күн бұрын
It was a twisty one coming up on the bus, we loved hiking back along the trail, it’s so beautiful, can imagine the four days must be so scenic to hike! We met some great locals along the way too.

@TideKnotTravellers13 күн бұрын
Thank you, we went at the end of August and started our circuit just after 6am as our entry ticket was between 6-7am.
I think there could have been a better title than asking if Machu Picchu was worth it. 🙃

Machu Pichu is GOVERNMENT-MADE TOURIST SPOT! Most of it is reconstructed by Peru's government and they have no idea if it was build up as it was in the original form. Also, they have no real understanding about Machu Picchu meanings. It is all about taking money from travelers.
@TideKnotTravellers18 күн бұрын
In our opinion they have done a great job of restoring and maintaining a fascinating historical site. Regardless of meanings the place is incredibly beautiful and the location is absolutely a destination in itself.

Love your video! Where did you book your tickets for the Macho Picchu tour and the tour guide?
@TideKnotTravellers18 күн бұрын
We arrived into Cusco and walked around the main square into a couple of the agencies there and chose the one we liked, negotiated a price and then picked up the tickets at 6pm the night before we got the train. You can book through Get Your Guide for our exact tour too. We picked the route with the extra hike up as we wanted to see the view looking back over MP.
