I think.. It's because it comes from a place of true- broken heart pain. You can feel. It.. Axl Is a unique artist whereby you can feel hiis sensitivity in thhe song and chooses to sing on mostly based on real life experiences. Good or bad. I feel he brings whatever is going on in his personal life /mind straight to the stage. If he's happy you know. If he's sad you'll know that too. He only can smile when he means it. And as we know, This is only a cover song and he sings it that deeply and it shows how complex he is as a person. That's my take on why it makes you cry. This particular video may just be the blueprint to show - Axl isn't really like any other artist. That pain is all too real in an illusion industry. This particular song makes me. Cry too .

When I was a child I loved Superheroes, but when I grew up a little I realized that they are unreal and fictional, until one day I saw Guns N' Roses on TV, then I realized that Axl is the real Superman, but the strength of this Superman is in his voice.
