When we sneeze... it was believed that we've envokwd Eshu by saying his name... commonly 1 or 2 or 3 times... like the points of his hats 1 or 2 or 3 sometimes having a ball at the ends of them... Christians mistakenly thought that Eshu was the Devil so in order to prevent him (the devil) from entering into the person that sneezed they would say "bless you" after the sneeze or rather after Eshu's name was said... This is why we say "bless you" after someone sneezes... now it's just thought of as being a common courtesy to do... without ever wondering why.

To my knowledge he was abandoned and is besties with Osun. He carries a machete lives at the door, front of the beach, and casserole dishes. He loves guava lollipops! He is a child so he can be very needy but he will protect you if you accept him. He goes by laughter.

A question I have is to that I’ve physically seen a version of Eshu leaving a mirror as a kid. their form was smaller with the curved phallic head and they looked at me and ran and since then I’ve had experiences but I am unsure how to proceed since I am not initiated. I forgot which sect does this traditionally, I think it is Balo, you get Elegua crowned on your head, not Eshu, due to Eshu being too wild and unpredictable, which is why he lives outside. 😱In the tradition my family practices, Balo and Santeria, sometimes Regla de la Ifa, Eshu isn't given unless you have Elegua first. This is to protect you from the craziness that Eshu has... he is the orisha of crossroads, like Elegua, but he is a trickster and can be complicated if you don't know how to work with him... giving his red palm oil if you can't offer blood sacrifices every Monday or daily, rum, popcorn, candy and smoke. He keeps the bad outside, but you need to treat him well. He needs to feel acknowledged and respected, which is why he is addressed first before all the other orishas. I treat him and Elegua the same... given them their oil, rum and smoke every Monday morning. I haven't had any negative issues so far. Eshu is still unsure of me, because we are new. He crept to me in my dreams and I was directed by my guides to make a shrine outside for him. Many people misunderstand that darker side of Elegua and don't want to work with him. ... but he is not the devil. He just has a different way of dealing with natural forces. Elegua deals in the light, child-like innocence. Eshu is the darker aspects and when you need protection to ward off negativity from the outside, he is the go to orisha for this. Elegua is the protector of inside the home, when doing cleanses he is the g to orisha. Again, this is for a different sect or practice and for different crowning rules. Thank you for your video. Aboru Aboya baba🙏, I am an Eśu priest who have received Mano de orula and was initiated in Isheyin Oyo Nigeria in 1994 and I was given an Eśu Yangi but lost it when I was away and someone somehow threw it away by accident and the sanitation department took it away by accident, luckily I still had his cowrie shells that was kept with me in a safe place. I would like to speak with you if possible about this and also I have a question which is I was told that this Eśu yangi when being fed all the caminos of Eśu is also being fed. Is that fact?
