I saw the Bible reading plan in the front. I’ve been using that one for the past 2 years. I love it!!!

You can always send that ESV off for a rebind if it starts to separate more.

Beautiful worn bible. That paragraph style looks great for reading. I'm currently looking for a premium bible in paragraph single column. How's that font size on the eyes?
@DaneKristjan3 жыл бұрын
If you've got decent eyes it's not bad. I think it's a 9pt font

I have the nasb version of this.Black goatskin..I’ve had it for years.Mine has been great.Walking to the car from church I got a couple drops of rain on the gilded gold red edge of the paper.It took it right off.So a couple of little marks on the gilding is the only change.The bible is really Nicely broken in.I really like it.

Hi Dane, Some pH Neutral Adhesive Glue for Book Binding will fix a lot of your issues with the Clarion that you have here. It works really well and most of my Bibles are now back in great order as a result. God Bless you.

Hey, Dane. A little off topic, but I was wondering if you were familiar with and/or would recommend any books by David Otis Fuller? The confessional text position is relatively new to me, and I know that he was pretty well known as being a TR/KJV advocate.
@DaneKristjan4 жыл бұрын
I have not read anything by him, or heard much of his perspective on the issue. I do not remember him being reformed though so maybe that's why. Some good books to look into from a reformed perspepctive on the text is "The King James Version Defended" by Edward Hills (the title is misleading), "The Ecclesiastical Text" by Theodore Letis, "Has the bible been kept pure" by Garret H. Milne

I would also recommend the published papers and the informal talks/podcasts/blogs of Dr. Jeff Riddle of Christ Reformed Church. Look up his "Word Magazine" podcast on sermon audio. Trinitarian Bible Society has some great resources on their website also. Then there are the occasional podcasts I make on this channel and the Agros Church channel that may be of some profit, as well as Rev. Taylor DeSoto's blog, youngtextlessreformed.com/ which has like a hundred popular level articles on a variety of text criticism topics. Also feel free to email me at pastor.dane.agroschurch@gmail.com with any questions, I may be able to answer for whatever its worth.

Dane K. Jöhannsson I did very recently buy The King James Version Defended and Believing Bible Study by Hills. I look forward to being able to get into them...Any plans for you or Reverend Desoto to review the upcoming debates between James White and Jeff Riddle? I miss the Agros Church podcast videos!

@@5PointSpurgeonist We have been trying to plan something for awhile. Time has just been limited. Yeah I would like to see how it goes. Have been talking with Dr. Riddle lately about the upcoming debate, please with his "battle plan". Looking forward to it.

Dane K. Jöhannsson I am already a faithful reader of Rev DeSoto’s blog, it is great stuff! I just recently binged his review of Mark Ward’s book. And thanks for the email, I was actually trying to find some contact info for you and Taylor recently and wasn’t having much luck. Thanks a lot!

Good review bro. Did you have trouble with page curl in this edition? If so, how long did it take for it to go away?
@DaneKristjan3 жыл бұрын
The ESV didn't have it too bad really, and the KJV didn't have it at all. If you use your Bible daily, I've notice that page curl goes away completely within a couple of weeks or less
@amd_8883 жыл бұрын
Hi what reading plan did you use, thanks
@DaneKristjan3 жыл бұрын
Most of the years I was using that Bible I put one marker in Gen.1 and the other in Mat.1 and then read 2-5 chapters out of both the OT and the NT. When I got to the end of Malachi and or Revelation I'd restart at the beginning.

Notice how the liner is tucked under the leather on the inside cover... do the pages ever rub against the goatskin edge causing damage to the page edges?
@DaneKristjan3 жыл бұрын
Yes that has happened over the years, as the cover molds over the pages start to catch and it has frayed/ripped the first few pages slightly. I believe that can be seen in the video itself.
