I'm looking forward to this re-release. I hope the paper is of better quality. I enjoy the ESV Single Column Reference a lot, but the 8pt font and tight leading are its only drawbacks. The Heritage seems to hit the sweet spot and I rarely make use of cross references anyway. The Heritage reminds me of the CSB single column personal size, which I absolutely love.

I share the same gripes with the PSR...the Heritage truly spoiled us single column lovers. Two essential improvements would definitely be paper quality, like you said, and a better binding.

I have this same bible, and enjoy the trim size, but it never got much use because I just couldn't warm up to the ESV translation for some reason. Just not my cup of tea. Despite my love for single-column bible's, I'm currently using a double-column bible for the first time in a long while, and I'm actually loving it! Double column and single column both have their pros and cons for sure. Anyway, thanks for your review! :)

You're definitely right...both single and double column bibles are great to have for different reasons. The ESV isn't my cup of tea, either, but I'm thankful for it regardless

It's definitely a great read! I've been enjoying double column a lot, lately. Not by choice, to be fair...I don't really like the single column options available for CSB 😂

Saw you on Tim Wildsmith's live stream this morning. I hope the re-release of this Bible is somewhat better than that one. I really don't want to drop the coin on the goatskin model but I, like you, think it's the perfect layout. I love my Cambridge Clarion but I don't need references, a concordance, etc. I have Bible Study software on all my devices with all of that. When I want to read the Bible, that's all I want in the book.

I really like this. I have a CSB single column compact and an NASB single column large print compact that has similar layout and size, but not this one. How did you manage to find yours since it’s out of print?

I got this one on eBay, however, it won't be too long before Crossway starts printing them again with the 2016 text!

@@favianee I prefer the 2011 text, too. And I think you're right...on Crossway's website they have the measurements to be larger in the upcoming Trutone editions. However, there are some 2011 Trutone Heritage bibles available online at this time. Looks like eBay, Amazon, and Thriftbooks are offering some.
