This just popped up, so I watched it. Honestly, I don't know you at all, Sir, but Frost's rep as a top-level rebinder, an artist, is or should be well established. That he would choose to partner with you in this bloody brilliant endeavor - 30-copy LE of this? Bound by Frost? - gives you all the street cred you'll ever need, my brother. At $497, I'm sure enough to bet that it is already SOLD OUT, said your newest subscriber. Personal opinion? My wide margins lay flat on my desk anyway, so I can write neatly and legibly, so I would think a pastedown in a nice, meaty calfskin like Royal Jongbloed did with the TBS Westminster in Meriva calf. That pastedown gives it that hinged-like-a-sewn-hardcover feel that allows it to lay flat from cover to cover out of the box, perfect for a note-taking Bible such as this. Save the goatskin for the ERC's (Everyday Reading Copy), where the soft and floppy hug of the goatskin makes read the Word even better. Aahh! Speaking of which, I would love to see (and own) a similar goatskin treatment (maybe in dark blue?) for your next LE collab: the Maclaren Large Print Thinline, the Words of Christ in Blue edition. Aahh! This ESV would be a pass for me, anyway, so I hope it is sold out. I'm usually not this long-winded in the comments. Guess I'm excited to witness the next level in Bible ownership being born before my eyes. May God bless this endeavor.
