Yeah, it seems this device could go over 20 Watts with a good temp, up to 20% gain. R5 3400G desktop is much better no doubt, by a lot (better RAM, more CUs, not power throttled, and overclockable).

I can't see a reason why it wouldn't run a VPN. It should run any VPN that you would be able to run via Windows (or Linux but that's depending on your OS obviously).
