Omgah that’s one of the best answers for why someone is into perfumes. She’s so right about tapping into parts of personalities. I also love the idea of choosing certain fragrances specifically to create scent memories. How amazing is it to choose a fragrance that will always take you back to your wedding day or vacation, etc.?

Very interesting idea, perfume identifying parts of our unexplored personality. I also liked Etienne's outlook on life, at the end is tragedy so we are to enjoy the here and now. Experimentum is an incredible scent! I will have to try Frustration next week. Sounds interesting. It does sound like an autumn scent. I have been rocking Fat Electrician lately. We keep shifting between cold and mid 70's. The creamy vetiver is just doing something for me. Great Vid!

Etienne is a visionary. He dared to go where nobody else dared to go (if we're talking about the beginnings of ELDO). I respect him and his work so much. I've attended the Amsterdam launch of this fragrance and I must say it's one of the good ones from the Orange Extraordinaire collection. I was fearing this would be a semi boring vanilla bomb and nothing else. But it is everything I've hoped it was not when it was announced. It's vanilla for people who don't like vanilla in their fragrance. Perfectly blended and only there when you want to acknowledge it, exactly as Etienne intended. Don't understand where Sebastian gets the "vanilla overdose" from.

I freakin' love the French! They are, by and large, just the coolest...Especially Etienne! Thank you and the lovely Jessica for presenting Frustration to us! I get what Etienne means - He calls it 'frustration' - I say its almost addiction...You can never really get enough of something you really enjoy...love, music, art, food, $ex, fantastic scents...etc. You DO have to satisfy yourself or be satisfied...Otherwise, you will end up in the void! But, I am a hedonist...I say too much of a good thing, is a good thing! xox

Her name is pronounced as matilde Bee-jah-wee (last 3 letters in the last name are oui- just like “yes” in French and that’s how you say it at the end of her name) with the stress on the last syllable.

Looking forward to those other videos with Jessica! About the talk by Etienne, his humour and cheerfulness is refreshing. But this final line: "Life is so tragic, so the only way to stay alive is through sophisticated consumerism." To say it is the only way is what bothered me. Seems quite inconsistent with a light hearted "comedy of life" existential take as he calls it (or as he calls his own take.) For example minimalism could be another way, among others. Anyway very interesting video.
