I feel this... "If you feel something strongly... it comes out, whether you want it or not. You can't escape that. So I do respond... to the beauty of the place... of people, of language, of colour. And I feel... it comes, whether I want it or not. When we work... our whole being participates in what we do. It's more than just thinking. It's who you are... you can't escape from. It's going to follow you like your shadow. And it will come out. So let it come out." -Etel Adnan

Very special indeed! Expressing verbally…what happened to us that we can no longer say the word beauty? 😢 that’s how far we’ve come from nature, her main thrust for being. Being a writer before painting enables us to understand better the creative soul. Much gratitude for introducing us to her.

What an insult to Van Gogh. How do the curators get away with these abominations? There are a few "nice" pieces. Nothing that belongs in a museum. Nothing that she could make a living off of by selling. If you took these pieces and placed them in a critique session among other students work in art schools across the nation, you would get plenty of feedback on what they need and how to fix them. This is more like an untrained hobbyist's work. It's amazing how desperate people are to buy into something when there's little to nothing there. I'm completely unimpressed and disgusted with curators.

Thats the great thing about art, it's about feelings, opinions. You don't like the work, fine. But I like it. Your dislike does not cancel my desire to see her work, does not erase the comparisons between her landscapes & Van Gogh's.
@BlackKettleRanch

@@xw591 Go ahead and look at it. I didn't say not to, and I never said that you're not allowed to like it. And, yes, you can compare it to Van Gogh's. You can also compare chop sticks to Mozart.

@@freddyfelipe5047 Aren't you the pot calling the kettle black. And you put a little hypocritical and passive/aggressive heart after your assumptive and hateful statement. You're the one who brought up hate. I'm just speaking the truth. I never said her heart wasn't in her work. I'm sure it is, but it doesn't take away from the facts.
