It seems like color choices become very important in these simplified abstracts. Thank you for the instruction.

You're right, Philip, I just use my colors and, when visiting an exhibition recently, I noticed Etel Adnan has a better feel for color. 😉 Albert

Really enjoyed this practice! What I like most about your videos is my discovery of artists I've never heard of before + it continues to teach me to grow for my own art. Thank you very much for all your videos!

Thanks so much for this video and for introducing Ethel Adnan. I must admit that I’ve never attended art lessons where the teacher was equally capable of simplifying and deconstructing concepts as you do. Love the channel!

Hi Salim, thank you for the compliments. They mean a lot to me. Deconstructing is my way of trying to understand how anything in the world works. Nice to hear I can help you too. Bye, Albert

Etel used to teach at Dominican College. I met her and Simone through Ann O'Hanlon years ago. Glad to see her working with color. I buy her poetry whenever I can.

I purchased my first palette knives in 2020 I’ve enjoyed using them. It’s only in 2020 I realised there are so many other ways to paint rather than just brushes.I love your colour choices here.

Thanks for this class. Is very nice. What kind of paper do you use?
@ImperfectPaintings4 жыл бұрын
Hi Alfredo, thanks. I use 200 grams universal drawing paper. Go to your local at supplies store to see what they have. But keep in mind never to use water, it will destroy the surface of your paper. What you can use is acrylic medium to make lighter colors. Hope this helps. Albert
