I always thought the chains represented her spirit being 'chained' or tethered to this world and her inability to pass on when she died. This version of her feels both warmer and more sorrowful, and I love that combination. It's always wonderful to see you post

chains are also just a very common prop for ghosts, and ghosts scaring people by rattling chains are staples in fiction, espexially urban legends regarding old prisons and such, i love how the original spectra used balls on chains as heels for her shoes!

Spectra is such a unique doll with her chiselled face sculpt and the translucent hands, and I think you absolutely did her justice!

Wow! As a big fan of spectra this is incredible! The emotion in her face tells a great story about a melancholic ghost just as it should! And the clothing choice makes her seem more like she died in a historical era, maybe the Victorian era, while still being as fashionable as the rest of the ghouls. And aside from her character details, she just looks gorgeous! The purples are amazing and her hairstyle is so unique and perfect 😍 In love with this doll!

As an aside, I discovered your revamp series a few months ago, and although I don't have any nostalgia related to the Monster High doll line, it has become one of my favourite video series to decompress and be inspired by, the level of dedication you have for your craft makes me want to work on my own crafts and art projects ☺️

Spectra's revamp turned out STUNNING. I love the sorrowful, longing look and dress. I personally would have done big chonky pigtail curls for her hair, but that's just me. She turned out great. The chains added a nice touch of contrast to all that purple.

oh my goodness she looks amazing! I love how your revamps don't completely change the character but rather expand upon what was already there. It shows that you have a true love for the characters, and as a huge MH fan I really appreciate it. As for season 2 of your series there are so many ghouls it's hard to choose. I would love to see your revamp of toralei, venus, rebecca, or operetta. I think it would also be cool to see a revamp of one of the guys like deuce or clawd(but I also understand that the guys are harder to come across and aren't for everyone). Regardless of what characters you choose for season 2 I am super super super excited!!!

Seeing the Spectra doll's head with pins sticking out really made me want like a Voodoo doll type of character from Monster High. Maybe they have a headpiece that look like pins poking out of their head like the ones seen in this video. I'm not a big enough fan of Monster High to know all the characters, so I'm not sure if there's already a Voodoo doll character.

She’s gorgeous! Her face looks so sorrowful, and I noticed in all the shots of her she never seems to be looking right at the camera due to her eye pose and I think that’s such a cool effect! If I had to die and haunt a high school for all eternity, I might be a little less sad if I looked as pretty as her!

I love that you try something and aren't afraid to re-do things if you aren't happy, but then at the same time accept that you can't always get things perfect or a hundred percent what you envisioned. The funny thing is that Spectra was one of my favorite characters since she did so much content in writing. I was a kid back then, and I'm absolutely happy you did her so much. Years later, I'm writing tales that have such vivid imagination. If Spectra were real and all grown, she'd definitely gossip about any amazing books she's come across from time to time.😆 Her tails are so cute and love the clothing! Hope you continue the series! Romans used chains on corpses to keep the spirits from wandering. Others believe it's a representation of the barbaric deeds of our ancestors, and still others think it to be a form of punishment for sins committed in life ( greed, lust, vanity, pride, etc). They all sound pretty grim to me, but Spectra is my favorite Monster high doll, so I'm very happy to see that you repaired and used this lovely little lady. You gave her life after death, if you will. ❤

As much as i loved how mature Spectra's face mold looked, I *LOVE* how your artstyle softened her features. She genuinely looks like someone who passed away with regrets. Just wonderful, darling. What struck me most about this doll when she came out was that the invisible quality of the hands was a wasted detail, they just didn’t stand out with all that standard busy contrast. Your muted tones and iridescent shadows bring the hands out as if they were glass! Her facial features also make more sense now, instead of the eye makeup fighting the mold. Way to go!
