AMAZING story from beginning to end!!!! I love how it started with Larry not wanting Viki to go to her 25th high school reunion, her remembering having Megan, and how half of Llanview ended up trapped in Eterna, an underground city built by Viki's father!! LOL Great story arc with lots of twists and turns!!

SAL Paradise This is like a love to hate storyline. The music score is great however. I got this storyline through a soap trade. This aired the year I was born (1989) but the 1980’s was really the time when soaps started experimenting with different fantasy storylines and was the actual beginning downfall.

OLTL did have its share of over the top stories but this particular one rocked, you can't really get a full sense of how good the storyline was and how well it was told just by watching a few episodes on KZbin, besides it was the 80s everything was over the top.

It's funny...but when this storyline came about, I had a strange feeling they were going to use it to bring Victor Lord back. That we were going to find out he and others were still living down there and hiding out. Who knew years later they would come up with an even more ridiculous story about him coming back and doing business with Mitch Lawrence. If that didn't beat all!

This storyline sucked!1989 was a dreadful year for OLTL.Every storyline during this year was awful.Gabrielle baby switch, Crown Jewels Of Mendora, Llana Flag storyline, Austin/Sarah rape storyline, Megan/Ruby Bright storyline and the worst of the bunch,Eterna were all pathetic.The show won a best writing emmy for the year 1986.It's pathetic that the writers let the show degenerate into this crap.

@@hapgood22 I agree with you 100% I say 1982 was definitely the year daytime was starting to think outside the box and start with more murder spree, fantasy, science fiction, action pack storylines. I believe NBC soaps were the ones to really start it, follow by ABC.

Eterna was February 1989 when they were down there. 1987 was when Viki went to Heaven and 1988 was when Clint went to Buchanan City 1888.
