If we have to "endure until the end" ,that puts us in a position of having to work for our salvation on top of what Jesus Christ did for us on the cross. When Jesus died on the cross He did it all. We have no part in our salvation, except to receive what Jesus did for us on the cross. We trust in His finished work on the cross. You need to not listen to man but God and rightly divide His Word. You are wrong on the "endure until the end" statement. You are adding other things to what it is the Bible. That is dangerous to your soul. When we are saved it is instantly not something we wait for at Jesus second coming. The Rapture happens first ,and we who are believers will be lifted up to meet Christ in the air and be in Heaven with Him while the 7 year Tribulation is going on down here on Earth. After the 7 years of Tribulation Jesus returns to the Mt. of Olives and we will be traveling with Him. That is the time of the Armageddon battle. You are really wrong about what the Bible says. And alot of them have such a hostile arrogant attitude that does not come from the holy spirit, alot of them arent loving at all, but have the spirit of the accuser. Buncha fruit inspectors. Makes me sad really. Because while they won't admit it, they probably are constantly living in fear and doubt and wondering if they are doing enough or not doing enough. Alot of those people claim to be living holy lives, perfect lives but are quick to show how unholy they are when they attack and belittle others, they condemn other like they have the right, they judge, and put down others. Remember eternal life is first and foremost a person. That is Christ who indwells a believer through the person of the Holy Spirit after they believed. The holy Spirit doesn't come out of the believer after that. The Bible says the moment we believe the gospel, we are sealed by the Holy Spirit of promise UNTO THE DAY OF REDEMPTION. And so once sealed into the body of Christ via the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, He doesn't exit. He stays in a believer into the day of redemption. Do you understand?

@davidmacfarlane47613 жыл бұрын
@Bat Lover i struggle so much with Scrupulosity every single day. For almost 2 decades, I wholeheartedly believed in Eternal Security. But then numerous passages in the bible began to affect me that resulted in my doubting of that doctrine in my early-mid twenties. I never attended any Lordship Salvation churches, but i recently encountered Lordship teaching, and stressed out tremendously whether or not it is true for several months, but am now quite confident that they are adding works to the gospel by redefining faith. Now, I am swinging back to believing in Eternal Security again. Even so, I have nagging thoughts about certain sinful actions affecting my eternal destiny. on the other hand, I Simultaneously agonize that if I am questioning my own salvation on the basis of sinful habits, then I have added works to the gospel, which is another gospel, and really no gospel at all, and those that are seeking to be justified by the law are severed from Christ. It is a cosmic double-bind that I desperately want to be rid of. Therefore I agonize over the question all day, every day, have I TRULY trusted in Christ ALONE? OCD is called the doubting disease, and the very means access to Christ, namely trust, is under siege!!! I am clinging onto 39 This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. 40 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.” Numerous passages are still a stumbling block that result in lingering doubt over the doctrine, but I am trying my best to cling on the above verse. How and when can I ever know that I actually truly trusted Christ alone? If this really could keep me out of the Kingdom of Heaven, I sincerely regret studying the bible so much and being poisoned by those passages, and lament my very own existence, for it may have been better to never have been born with such a weighty matter of eternal destiny hanging in the balance contingent upon utterly rejecting both the Calvinist idea of Persevarance (only true faith results in a lifetime lived in full commitment to holy living successfully carried out) and the Arminian idea of Conditional Security. I fear that the poison may not be removed in time for me!! The Calvinist concept of Limited Atonement also plays tricks on me, and I sometimes wonder if I am not predestined to be elect. Some of these Calvinist ideas have played with my head even though I have never attended a Calvinist church. And what if in then end, in my search for truth, I end up believing the wrong thing after all? The possibility always exists that I could have made the wrong choice!

@Bat Lover Great analogies! You must be a computer lover like me! We still have the old computer holding us back if we let it, but we have a brand new machine with the best specs available for us to use. I agree with you on the whole trustED thing. My mom led me to the Lord when I was about 4 years old back around 1987 or so. I don't recall if there was anything inadvertantly introduced that could be construed as adding a work to grace and thus nullifying grace in her presentation such as adding a requirement to be sorry for my sins or adding the idea of as the prayer as a requirement for salvation (the prayer isn't the means of salvation, trust is). I don't know if she taught eternal security, which would seem to be a necessity according to Yankee Arnold. I know her family beleives it in it wholeheartedly and my mom and GRandpa do not doubt the salvation of my now atheist brother in the slightest. I on the other hand have questions.

When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die. Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive. Isn't having sin forgiven part of the gospel message? With all sin forgiven, we have everlasting life! By His "offering" we are "perfected for ever" (Heb. 10:14). The wages of sin is death, and if we can't be corrupted with sin of the flesh, We can't die. Our spirit in Christ is completely sanctified now through the "body of Jesus Christ" (Heb. 10:10) and He promised to give us glorified bodies in His timing (1 Cor. 15:50-52)! Why complicate something so simple? Maybe watch the video to see what scripture says. "Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:" Colossians 1:12-14

OSAS is the Gospel John 6:47 yes , I get it, eternal security is true and biblical. Not denying it. The unregenerate man isn't wondering if he can or can't loose his salvation before he even has it. That's a spiritual matter. A basic one all the same. The gospel is Christ and the work of the cross and resurrection. Eternal security , and the way that is achieved - being sealed unto the day of redemption cannot be understood so easy by the natural man. Again, on the authority of the bible: the gospel is Christ died for our sins was buried and rose again, and salvation is in him. Don't add extra criteria of believing other things too.

What are your thoughts on this example from the bible where one can be saved and not go to heaven? In Matthew 16:13-16 (and Mark 8:27-29; Luke 9:18-20) Jesus asks the Apostles who do they say that he is? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. Now at that time, Jews were saved by justification by faith, just as Abraham and David were. And Peter also. The fact that Jesus replied to Peter that he had received that answer from The Father corroborates that Peter really did believe it. That would show that he had been justified by faith, thereby being saved. Now in Matthew 10:33, Jesus states: But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. And in Matthew 26:69-75, Peter denies Jesus not once, not twice, but three times. So according to Matthew 10:33, that would unarguably mean that Peter would NOT be in heaven, even though he had been saved. (To reject Matthew 10:33 as being relevant in this case would be to call Jesus a liar.) As we know, in John 21, Jesus restores Peter as one of his Apostles. And Peter spreads the Word throughout the nations until he eventually dies as a martyred Saint, showing that he had gotten back on the narrow path to eternal life. If he had died before doing so, as Judas did, he too would not have obtained eternal life.

You can be saved alone by Christ alone if all the sins and iniquities are repented and confessed. If any sins “stay with us” as we are with them, the purging with fire of that sin will consume me too. The only way to be rescued is that I must repent and confess, and this is how the penalty of my sins are immediately transferred to Jesus Christ, who suffered the penalty of the repented and confessed sins. This is how He has died the substitutionary death for me, instead of me and this is how I can have eternal life. Yes. Salvation is from God’s part is free, we need to accept it by faith, only through Christ, but we can lose our salvation if we agree with any sin in our life. Jesus did not come to save us in our sins. But FROM OUR SINS. Matthew 1:21. Shalom 🙏❤️🙏

What happens if you sin in your sleep during a dream then proceed to die before you can confess? 🤷🏻♂️

I disagree. Especially because Paul and Peter talk about The Apostasy. This is why many have left The Church. However, I do believe that during The Tribulation, many will be The Tribulation Saints of Revelation 6, 13, 15-18, & 20:4-6. Jesus taught that we are to repent. God sent the Prophet Nathan to confront King David, and David had to repent for his sins. Faith without works is dead.-James 2:14-19

You don’t believe Jesus paid for all sins then. All sins includes the sin of apostasy. And you have misunderstood the book of James if you think its about how to obtain eternal life. It’s written to believers.
