The Frioul Island off the coast of Marseille (by ferry 11 euros return from the old port) is the most beautiful place I've ever been to in my life so far.

I'm from Marseille. I wouldn't recommend for tourists to walk from St Charles station to the port. Plus you definitely miss something if you just visit the center like in the video. You must go the the south to see the beach, the Calanques, Velodrome Stadium, Corbusier building, Borely park and much more.

Thank you for this video! I'll be making a trip to Europe in March and have Marseille on my itinerary. This has given me a good idea of some places to check out while I'm there and I'm even more excited to check it all now!

I’m so happy to find this vlog. My favourite city in the world ( aside from New York) is Napoli, and I’ve always thought Marseille would be quite similar in it’s vibe? I discovered your channel by chance, and now I am on a binge watch!! Xx

@MsMilano Marseille is the French Naples in France in similarity, the sun ☀️ , beach 🏝 , the small streets of the city center, hot atmosphere, many fans of city club (OM) Olympique de Marseille, honestly it’s a beautiful city.

Marseille is famous for its Bonne-mère, its Vieux-Port and its Château d'If. It is also known for its significant cultural outputs, from savon de Marseille to tarot, as well as its typically Southern culture of pastis and pétanque.

@@laura-bronner why do they say, ist a dangerous city?
@bibaoreo4355 Жыл бұрын
@@lillamakrai8086 not more dangerous than Paris, but obviously Paris has to keep the "romantism" from Emily in Paris real 😂 but no, more seriously, it's a big city so you always should be careful, but no paranoia don't worry. It might surprise you, but it's even a better welcoming than other cities in France.

ooo - it depends on where you plan to spend most of your time. I absolutely loved being based in Cassis and you can still get around quite easily and there's so much to see, do and eat in Cassis!

Why has nobody built a restaurant/lounge on top of Museum overlooking the port..........what a money maker that would be!!! And you would have a place for lunch and when I go there!! Been to Paris, drove to Bourdeaux and many vineyards and then Medoc and more vineyards and back to Paris with a trunk full of wine. No southern France ..... yet.
