I can attest to the fact that unfortunately many of us Syrians tend to think of our plight as if it was something exceptional when our brothers and sisters in East Turkmenistan, Kashmir, Burma and many other parts of the world have been suffering equally or even more. We should all think "ummatically" (that is, as an Ummah), i.e., beyond our artificial national borders.

I delivered a speech on Uyghur Genocide in my school speech competition around 3 years ago, but was not ranked just because our school is affiliated with Pakistan Navy, and the principal supports China. However, everyone else, including all teachers and students supported me, and the girl who was ranked first made a certificate of first position and gave it to me, because even she considered the speech about Uyghur Genocide to be the best. I am not praising myself, but everyone's passion to stand against tyranny.

The most effective solution is to unite as an ummah, not just metaphorically but physically also. Single rule like the times of the prophet(SAW).

Everyone who is reading this should think why the hate against Islam is so much? because when you read the Quran by yourself you find it to be the most peaceful and loving religion.. Why hate something so strongly when it's not doing anything to you except teaching you to live in peace and love? Why put so much money time and effort to destroy something so harmless? I'm Turkish and as a Turk, not being more proactive and supportive of our Uyghur brothers and sisters is absolutely heartbreaking, and will forever be a giant black page in our history. Sister even calls herself "Turkish" and a "Turkish minority". See in Turkic languages, the word "Turkic" doesn't exist, It's Turk / Turkish so that destinction often isn't made. In Turkey we call the Uyghurs, Uyghur Turks. We see them as our own people. The reasons for the lack of support are numerous but would take too long to explain and give context too. Hakan Fidan (former head of intel and current minister of foreign affairs) visited Urumci and Kasgar in East Turkestan very recently. And during his speech there, in front of all the Chinese officials. He called the towns "Turk(ish) Muslim towns" and during his latest speech to the UN Erdogan said they were in dialogue with China to protect the rights and freedoms of the Uyghurs there. It's not nearly enough, but at least they're not looking the otherway anymore like I feel they have been doing
