Ethereum doesn't have a deflationary mechanism, it has a SECURITY mechanism. Ethereum has sustainable economic security and the deflating supply is a byproduct of that security mechanism. Wether supply goes up or down, the security of Ethereum the network is secured. Bitcoin both has yet to reach sustain economic security, and is still inflating its supply far faster than Ethereum.

@@duragking9296 listen I respect Ben, I think he is highly intelligent person with a great analytical mind, loving his macro videos. I'm just saying its a great waste of his time to do those 1 hour long videos every day trying to find something that is not there - as a mathematician he should understand that if his comparisons are wrong day in and day out - maybe he is barking at a wrong tree 🌳 🤔.

ETH/BTC goes down because grayscale bleeds its ETH after launching ETF. ETH dominance gets crushed causing BTC.D to rise its last few percent. Ben can say he’s right, the fed will cut rates in September, and we can get back to the ripping bull run till May of next year. Then we’ll see the economy fail (no double top like last cycle) and we restart the business cycle.

If fed cuts rates in september wouldn't that be beneficial for ethereum and other altcoins over bitcoin?

Yeah it should be. He's just showing the charts from previous cycles and his main monetary policy is from 2019 which can be argued was a bear market. He's said in his previous videos himself that the returns of 2024 seem like a post halving cycle and 2023 felt like a halving year return so I don't think the rate cuts should cause eth dominance to fall.

Not in the short term, usually a rate cut signals weakness in the economy and thus weakness in many asset markets. The fed has to cut rates at some point because unemployment is trending upwards. It's just a matter of whether inflation is sustainably at a level that permits rate cuts and won't reaccelerate, which we haven't seen yet.

Depends on the reason for the cut. If they cut beacause of weakness in the economy then it is bearish in the shirt term. If they cut because inflation is going to reach their goal of 2% then it should be bullish.

Can't compare last cycles anymore. After BlackRock and JPMorgan took over BTC & ETH with ETF's, the whole cycle changed. Look BTC doubled months before Halving. When did that happened before? So will ETH ETF change whole price cycle of ETH.
