The winter range of Lapwing is rather more extensive than you suggest. We get lots in the UK - and I know that there were big flocks in the Netherlands when I visited there one winter. They are often called Peewits here because of their calls. Green plover is another vernacular name.

Yess in the netherlands we have plenty northern lapwings right now, and they are present year round.
