@ trying to deplatform Arab creators for disliking Sabra hummus. Twitch or terrorist is pretty bad too. But the worst of it is trying to paint a random Yemeni teenager as a “terrorist” when Ethan’s wife has participated in attacks in the occupied West Bank that are by definition terrorism. Something about stones and glass houses. He also platformed one of the most prominent genocide apologists online (although lonerbox’s grift has kinda failed at this point). But also just his thirst to deplatform anybody critical of Israel is gross and insanely unproductive

Honestly the Sabra thing, I don't think it's even as deep as you said. I thought it was just because Sabra is a bad hummus. It's like Taco Bell being a fake Mexican fast food. The spectrum is just most Arab coded to least. So they're saying if you like Sabra, you're not as Arab coded.

At the end of the day people, Ethan has consistently agreed that the genocide in Ghaza is absolutely inhumane and unforgivable. He has spoken over and over of the devastation there, and of how he wants it to stop, yet people still treat him as if he is one of the opposition. They call him a zionist when he is nothing of the sort. He does not defend the Israeli government's war tactics and crimes- that much he has made abudntently clear to me as a listener. If you don't want to watch him, that's perfectly fine. Making videos about him is perfectly fine as well. It's a free country. I just feel some need to at least shed some light on what Ethan has really said on his platforms regarding his feelings on the war. Then there's the topic of Hila. Hila made the decision to go along with the mandatory conscription in her country. I think if a lot of you were honest with yourselves, you'd admit that you probably would have done the same thing in her position as a teenager. It's not my perogative to defend that decision, I'm just being real on that since everyone else is on their high horse saying they'd be a conscientious objector, and thus a social outcast in their culture.

I tried to give this video a shot but you reek of partisan cherrypicking and even the arguments are terrible at face value. You really think comparing someone who served in the IDF and someone who claims to be a member of the houthis (a terrorist group with a vile history) is even remotely valid? Even if I accept your premise that the IDF is terrorist worthy, the argument still falls apart because its mandatory service. Oh but it gets even dumber because the IDF member chosen for the comparison is Hila, who is literally against the war in Gaza, as is Ethan. You dont even know their beliefs. Actual slop of a video

Soooo what was the point of making this video exactly if you are just going to parrot two arguments from other videos that have been addressed exhaustedly on the podcast? Can you truly sit here and conflate Hila as an IDF secretary to a Houthi member? Or say Ethan is 'Islamophobic' for a violent characterization of Gaza whenever him and Hila have mentioned in the past that Israelis are fearful of using public transportation bc Palestinians were committing bus bombings? Or perhaps the characterization was in reference to October 7th; either way, this video seems bankrupt of good takes or fair statements and feels way more like moral grandstanding for the sake of it.
@KieranThinks2 сағат бұрын
Addressed exhaustively? You must be joking. Why didnt Ethan play the badempenada video on stream and disect it like all the other hit pieces? I didn't just parrot other videos, I highlight the fact that he's avoiding them. You didn't think before writing this comment I fear
@ToastMalone242 сағат бұрын
@@FoulOmen it’s not comparing an IDF secretary to a Houthi member. It’s comparing a former IDF secretary who volunteered to participate in combat in the occupied territories against civilians to a Yemeni teenager who is not a member of the Houthis and has only known American-backed genocide his entire life. One chose to fight for an oppressive, genocidal, terrorist force and Rashid simply expressed support for a blockade against that regime. The generosity and empathy you extended to Ethan and Hila clearly doesn’t apply to a random brown kid who did nothing to deserve Ethan’s spotlight
@jcramirez39772 сағат бұрын
I can clarify. Hila admitted to have left her first position as a secretary to get closer to the action. After her transfer, she requested to go on raids. Think, she was not supposed to go (as she said she was still a secretary), but they took her anyway because she was "cute". These raids were on conducted on civilians outside Israel proper which is not legal according to international law. This is called a war crime btw. Hila then said she felt more fulfilment from this new assignment, that's why people are comfortable comparing/calling her a terrorist.
@FoulOmen2 сағат бұрын
@@jcramirez3977 Ohhh I understand, you actually just make things up. Unfortunately my friend, you're in the ring with a megafan and I vividly remember this story. Hila did go out on a raid because she was invited by friends (you make friends where you work/ spend time). She was not armed, it was intended to be a standard patrol, and to my understanding, her friends did commit violence on this raid. Hila remained in the vehicle. Was this raid commendable? Absolutely not. Gross? Yeah sure, any violence is bad. But Hila had no active part of this other than being a spectator who remained in the car. You completely fabricated the last part of her finding it fulfilling, she recalls this memory with fear and anxiety. Thanks for lying tho
@jcramirez39772 сағат бұрын
The clips (even the one where she admitted to be more fulfiled) are easy to find, I think you're just stupid actually
