I've watched many of those "back in times" videos and most of the dancers don't really like to see them, even if they won the prize at that time. This is quite astonishing. I mean Ballet carries so many traumatic memories and significant pain, as we can see throughout the videos.

He looks kind of badass here.... My sister was always proclaiming, "He looks like such a dork!!!" He was untouchable. Considered to be "the most advanced danseur in the world at the time". Now he says, "I'm just like like all the rest... " This is from way back when... You know, back when he ruled.... well, most of the world. It was kind of refreshing to know that Russia didn't have ALL the best in ballet.

haha! he is a funny dude! I think every dancer looks back at themselves from their youth and cringes - I know I do whenever I see old dance footage! Still, at 16 he was a fantastic dancer with loads of potential - which the jury could obviously see at that time. :)
