I think I get the idea behind his skits, it was during the part where he was ranting in the conference room, it kind of reminded me of a low budget, homemade version of The Office, but instead in a dentist setting. The execution was poorly done but I think if he had better writing, real comedy, and an actual budget I think this would be really successful on CBS or some shit.

Any show would be better with better writing comedy and budget... someone doing a pilot is supposed to execute some type of talent whether it's story line or acting or what not. Not just a profession. There are plenty of show already based off of a job. Doctors, retail, hospital, restaurant, whatever else. This guy just proved that he has no talent whatsoever

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand One Fucked up Dentis. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Dennis nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation - his personal philosophy draws heavily fromNarodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realize that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike OFUPD truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Dennis existencial catchphrase "IM ONE FUCKED UP DENTIST ," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dennis genius unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools... how I pity them. 😂
