5:31 about the language rule: I think it is only enforced when it is a conversation/dialogue between two or more contestants, not necessarily a monologue or using a non-English language randomly. I believe this is most likely for live feeds, and, as you alluded to, translation of game purposes. Not sure, but just something I thought I'd point out. Great video as always!

The white tshirt rule exists bcs of the subtitles. The show might air in a foreign country, or people may just wanted to turn on the subtitles, which are usually white as well. When u have someone with a white tshirt on, it is very hard to track subtitles bcs both subtitles and the tshirt are white.

Fun fact about the last rule touched upon; so long as the "tissue" is a kitchen rag, and the "pool shed" is a houseguests bedroom, this rule doesn't apply! As shown in bb19 when Matt used his "special rag" to clean the kitchen. Plus about the language rule, I remember Jun and Jee speaking Korean to each other.

The English only rule also wasn't inforced in bb4. There were a few occasions where Jun and Jee used korean in their conversations, although they continued the conversations in English

The "Howie rule" has always been one that I've wondered about as It's something you'd expect to be an issue for production. I've also always been a bit surprised that production allows them to have intimate relationships while in the house. Seems like more trouble than it's worth for production.

@@desrepeerc206 the first evicted (or “banished”, as it was called at the time) houseguest ever in BBUSA. He even lied to the producers to get in the house. He turned out to be an activist who wanted to use the show for his own message, which was apparently a no no at the time.

@@desrepeerc206 it was S1. It was a different world. It was a different show. Even the broadcast shows that were aired on CBS were just recaps from the live feeds. There was next to zero narrative building or production added. When the houseguests had to communicate with production, they would roll in a “giant” 52” tube tv for the house guests to interact with (that “big screen” tv was given as a prize to one of the contestants later in the season, btw).

The 'act of god' thing is common in language in contracts from my experience reviewing them. It protects business from acts of nature (tornado, earth quake, hurricane, fire). I assume this might apply to the show if there was a natural disaster it means they don't have to give you another appearance on the next season.

Involving the "Cant pretend to have an advantage that you dont actually have" rule. there was one time in Big Brother Canada 3, where Bobby faked having a secret power of veto for a while. couldnt find the exact episode, but it was also mentioned on one of the episodes. However you can easily find a bunch of exit interviews regarding this moment.

I remember this! It was like a broken hanger or something he claimed was a secret power of veto that kept him safe for a couple weeks cause people were scared to put him up. Till Kevin won HOH and nominated him, he had to reveal that it was fake and it pissed people off lol.

@@KPolinger Well, Sam did tell Tyler about her power I dont think Big Brother enforced the rule. . Can't remember if it was on the episodes or not, but it was on the live feeds. When she won HOH and insulted the nominees the then immediately told everyone that she had a power and nobody was going home. I think the answer to why she didn't was because Sam is a terrible player and Tyler was her brain.

Actually, there were two cases where there could have been a tie vote in the jury. Due to Xima's expulsion, there were six jurors during BB11, which could have resulted in a tie.

The white t-shirt rule was an old production thing. White balance and color grading at the time was not that well implemented during the early 2000's. Despite the rule still technically being there, its a non-issue.

That HoH would either have to nominate the rival directly (Taking the blood off of my hands) or nominate somebody else on the spot to stay safe. Basically, I want to ruin the HoH's run by putting him or her in a complacent mindset with my lie. It's a shame that that strategy is apparently illegal, though. :(

In the Split House there were 2 games played separately,so that dual HOH tiebreaker rule would not work. If there was a tie in one of the groups,the group's HOH would have broken the tie.

If JC wasn’t speaking Spanish to other players, I could see why production didn’t impose the rule. The rule is clearly meant to make gameplay accessible to the audience and to cut time on editing (because they’d have to translate and add captions), so I don’t see them enforcing a rule that doesn’t affect gameplay.
