As someone who has always been a fan of Josh, I credit his appeal this season to him not taking things as seriously. He never lashed out at anyone, when he was loud, he was much more playful about it, and he was on good terms with most of the house. He came off as enjoying himself more than usual and he really showed a desire to win while also being comfortable losing. On his most recent of the challenge, he both played better and also was a bit too chaotic, but here he was everything I wanted from him! I also admit I was happy to see Nicole come back in the best of showings! As much as I am still annoyed about BB22, she clearly showed she grew up a lot since then and I am happy she returned!

As someone who despises BB19 and everything it stands for, I've always seen Josh as someone who can be really entertaining but was just so obnoxious with how he went about it. I really enjoyed him this season and was actually rooting for him over Nicole in that one Santa's Showdown, which would've been inconceivable to me a few years ago.

@@rawstmv Not the most recent season. Last season they were geared more towards athletic men. Evidence as to how many wins the men had for the season. I don't think it's because the girls were weaker at challenges, it's because they weren't built for them to be able to win. They even changed the wall comp, so what usually used to be a comp that people who are less top heavy, could win, now the athletic guys win because the design was switched up.

Nicole has been my all-time favourite on big brother US. She is always underestimated and people love seeing the underdog make it far. Talk about "expect the unexpected"...a new Ethanimale video! I'm glad you enjoyed this spinoff as much as I did. It was good old fashioned holiday fun. My favorite part of this season was seeing the ladies surprise us and themselves with what they're capable of. From Brittany freaking out about completing the hamster ball puzzle to Nicole thinking facing off against Josh in an endurance comp was a death sentence to the underdog team in the ornament challenge (3 girls and 1 guy versus 3 guys and 1 girl) triumphing, Reindeer Games really showed that female players can be comp beasts and that they are perfectly capable of beating male competitors in physical and mental competitions. I thought it was sad throughout the season how much the women underestimated themselves and each other, but I could see their confidence growing with every success, which was so great. It was so exciting to watch Nicole and Taylor, two fabulous ladies and well-deserving finalists, duking it out at the final two, all the while being competitive and classy, only saying good things about each other. The cherry on top then was watching Nicole surprise herself by winning (I think she called herself a "frumpy mom" 😢). She was so awesome this season and absolutely deserved it.

The rainbow wig at the beginning "Chef's Kiss". I knew the Nicole & Britney convo in the beginning was Important, I just thought that meant Britney was winning. I was even calling her the Reindeer Queen. This season had no right to be this good as we saw the producers put a level of effort we hadn't seen before. Like with the animated intro, it wasn't great but they didn't have to do it at all. If there is a season 2 who do you want to see compete, some on my list would be Rachel Reilly, Johnny Mac, America & Dr. Will.

I think this is a much better alternative to another full on all stars season. It's an easier way to cast the big names since filming is only for 10 days-2 weeks and they don't have to live there (basically like coming to set every morning). Well, I'll go ahead and touch on the "interesting logic" you've mentioned. For starters, in order to rank Big Brother players, you have to establish some ground rules. For starters, what do you think makes somebody a good BB player? People have different opinions on what a "good BB player" is. Big Brother is not a game that can be set in black and white. What is your definition? What is it about Nicole's playstyle in particular that makes her such a standout to you?

@@DVal-bl7hm Success is being able to play well, if not one dominant performance (see Derrick) routine strong performances which is why Nicole to me is the #1 female over types like Vanessa, Danielle, Rachel, etc. Nicole finished 7th (being clipped by Derrick early as a threat), 1st, 3rd (final part of HoH away from 1st as she probably beats Enzo) and 1st (in this abridged season). The best BB players are those who can routinely replicate their ability to make deep runs (Nicole finishing top half in every season, and top three while actually being a potential winner unlike Paul who is more of a Russell Hantz) to me is pretty much the ideal player. Despite every single player in the game knowing how strong of a player Nicole is, she will pretty much always make a deep run. If you took a house that was all of the winners, managed to wipe their memories of who anyone was, had them play a game and you had to pick someone to make jury to save your life... Nicole might actually be the chalk pick because yet again, no one will come for her, she will worm her way into an alliance and make a run. Arguably the single best "wolf in sheep clothing" player in reality TV. Never seen as a threat, and then suddenly you blink and she is a challenge away from winning. Not the best TV... but easily one of the best to ever play the game.

As someone with Asperger's Syndrome (and an aspiring engineer), it frustrates me when people don't follow an objective criteria to evaluate BB players over each other. Second, while I agree with many of the things you have said, I still have a few questions about Nicole's BB Legacy that gives me some reservations with her: playing on BB 3 and 1/2 times, constantly being casted with (and shielded by) a Califiore brother, her architype benefitting her in modern BB, not being casted with a massive "drag-a-long" pawn (e.g. Derek F), competition equability. I don't even know if you would want me to elaborate on my thoughts, because it would be such a long, exhausting comment to read. But thank you for sharing your thoughts.

The point I was trying to make was that Nicole has a tougher time surviving the block against repeat pawns like Victoria. She was lucky she didn't have to worry about this as much in her other seasons.

what i really enjoyed about reindeer games, you highlighted in your video! the comps were so fair across the board, it was amazing watching competitors like cody and cameron get competitions that aren't likely to be easier for them than others. while i do think cody is a great competitor, for as much as he discredits some winners, it's very fitting to see him be an early boot in a season that doesn't favor his strengths. xavier i think of everyone dis-benefitted(take this lightly, it's not a huge dis-benefit) from this as a winner, strategically being unable to give britney anything in a conversation to the point of her being shocked this guy won big brother was already really sad. THEN to admit to britney later on who your ally is and who you were trying to save by attempting to feed britney to the sharks for them.. the only positive for xavier is that he did so well in competitions, but i don't know that it really does a slim athletic man any justice to be a comp beast nowadays. only props i can give is that he won numerous unique challenges and that got him to the final 5, he was certainly luck taylor and others wanted to work with him based on him being a previous winner, or doing well in challenges! taylor and frankie both did amazing obviously and proved why they're two GREAT big brother players. it was especially interesting seeing taylor go from playing at the bottom on her original season to this season where she was fully confident and once again displayed an amazing social game. (tangent: it's sad how america soured on her for having the nerve to not be an 'underdog' this season lmao. i really wish the fan base was able to be self aware and not fall for the underdog story every time.) frankie did really well, socially i'd say he did less well than taylor, BUT i'd say for the first half and middle of the game he did better in what frankie does great at and that's competitions. it was so interesting seeing two players who felt so evenly matched go at each other all season. nicole completely redeemed any negatives i thought of her, the fact that everyone came in looking at cody and frankie and KNOWING what kind of game they play but nicole ONCE AGAIN managed to play a sneaky game where she hides behind bigger threats to make it to the end, and once again wins a big brother franchise is insane. if she's EVER on another season i genuinely hope the players acknowledge from the beginning how big of a threat she is and don't let her fly under the radar because nicoles longevity in these seasons speaks for itself that she's one of the best.

In my opinion, Frankie Grande is one of the most entertaining houseguests that has ever competed on the show. He is one of the reasons Season 16 was so incredible and was basically the driving force of the season. Without Frankie Big Brother 16 would have been a lot less entertaining.
