Ethan, Donny and Marie are American. They never lived in Canada, ever.
@irenewatts287411 күн бұрын
Hi Ethan I’m surprised you don’t know Donny and Marie Osmond. They were the 2 people on that trunk. They were very big here in the USA in the 70’s and 80’s. They sang with all the Osmond’s and there were plenty of them. But anyway what a nice house. These people who lived there left a lot of kids things. The 2 beds all those toys and more stuff in the basement. Maybe they plan to come back and get that stuff. All those CD’s and movies. All those minor things can be fixed like the ceiling that leaks. Since a developer now owns the house he will demolish it and really develop all that land in the backyard. I think that is very nice of you Ethan to go around closing all those windows so mold does not set in. Maybe the place stunk when the people left and they were airing it out. Thank you so much for the tour of this lovely house. Stay safe and keep well P.S. You don’t need to apologize for the sniffles. It’s cold in those house and we get it. 👍🆒😊

They will probably build new homes or condos that I’m sure won’t be built as well as this one was. This home just needs a little updating and paint and would be beautiful. Why would you think that just because that trunk had Donnie and Marie’s pictures on it that they lived there lol. Someone just bought that trunk years ago and now it’s filled with whatever. Donnie and Marie are brother and sister and wouldn’t be living together. And I’m sure they wouldn’t be still living together since the 70s. You said these people just moved not to long ago. Marie was married and has like 5or 6 grown children now. I just find it funny that you made that assumption from that trunk😂😂😂😂Anyway i enjoyed the walk through anyway ❤

The Windows are opened a little bit to air the house and stop damp and mold from developing in the house as damp and mold can cause health issues if the house is left empty for a while (few months ) . This keeps the house aired out and it makes it easier on the next person who lives there as they don't have to deal with damp and mold from stale air .

They'll leave lights on like that in empty homes, especially in areas where squatters could break in so it makes things easier for police to patrol and just look through the windows and verify everything's copacetic without having to get inside, When I was a realtor, I had a client who was an investor with about a dozen rental units in the area, and I'd let the local patrol know if a place was empty, usually only a few days between when one tenant left and a new one moved in where repairs were done, new paint, carpet, etc. and told them the place was empty and wouldn't be occupied until X date, and all main lights were left on so they could check in on their rounds.

Donny and his brothers Alan Wayne, Merrill and Jay performed as the Osmonds. Donny and Marie became a duo and had their own variety show, one of their regular segments was Little Bit Country (Marie) Little Bit Rock n Roll (Donny). Youngest brother Jimmy (billed as Little Jimmy Osmond) was very popular in England and had a big hit with Long Haired Lover from Liverpool. Jimmy also did quite a bit of acting. Donny and Marie's 2 oldest brothers Virl and Tom are severely hearing impaired and did not perform. An interesting note is that the Osmond Brothers first started performing to raise money to help with Virl and Tom's medical bills.

12:20 I believe they leave the windows open to keep moisture from building up when the heat is off, so if you close all the windows, it might be necessary to turn the heat on. I've seen houses that were closed up all winter and got really smelly and dank. PS: One other reason to put the heat on would be to keep the toilets from cracking, if there is still water in them.

I love when people leave everything behind it just means the things that meant something to them and they thought they can’t part with them but we all go through that I guess. I have stuff in my apt and think 🤔 why is this still here and can’t figure out why don’t I just throw it away? 😋 I’m not a hoarder in any sense of the word. But I can see why people accumulate stuff and they forget to purge that’s the key Purge. I like this house I’m privy to music 🎶 as I am a musician. These houses in Canada 🇨🇦 you explore are truly iconic from the past! Love this nostalgia 😊 love your trimmed goatee btw looks awesome. 😊 this weather is extreme to cold right now!!?? Did you move into your new house yet Ethan ?? Anyhow stay safe and amazing 🤩 drink some more fruit juice in the morning kills colds quick 😊

Or it could’ve been haunted. And the owners chose to leave. In a hurry

Nice tour of the place. Reminded me of days gone by. Shame someone is going to tear it down.
