There is only condensed milk in „Bạc xỉu”. Coffee with much condensed milk means „Bạc xỉu”. Vietnamese never drink coffee with fresh milk.

As a Vietnamese, I understood why you mistook it as "bạc sỉu", since many coffee shop there day make it wrong with add fresh milk and even wrong in the ratio between of condensed milk with coffee, that is not "bạc sỉu", in "bạc sỉu" only use two ingredients, condensed milk and coffee, with condensed milk quantity higher than coffee (as for me it double), there other thing can be add is ice cube, simple as that.

@@nuthanlong You and the guy above was wrong actually, the original "bạc sỉu" (from Hoa people) is indeed has both fresh milk and condensed milk in it. The one with only condensed milk and coffee is just a simpler version.

This is literally what my Vietnamese brother make for me every time i visit Vietnam, he is a part time coffee maker during his day in college and he have some of the best coffee recipes ever If you want alittle more chocolate flovor i suggest adding cocoa powder, or if you want it stronger or creamier, just add Vietnamese coffee or any coffee you lik (Vietnamese coffee are strong, so some people might not be able to drink it)

Aww yum - in NZ you used to be able to get coffee and cond milk in a can - it was ingeniously called coffee milk - just poured a bit into a cup and topped with hot water and stir - very sweet but yummy

Just made this. Tried scooping the condensed milk like yours and realized my spoons are bigger than yours. I got 35g of condensed milk (~20g = 1 tbsp) and didn’t event use the whole scoop. Mine came out way whiter than yours as a result but still tastes alright. I imagine it would taste better if I made it closer to your recipe

in VNese we mainly use Robusta, is it the same for your version of Spanish Latte? Bcause iirc, the Spanish Latte uses Arabica beans, which, flavor is very mild and light comparing to the strong Robusta. That's what makes our cà phê sữa so good.

I do something similar. I use instant espresso and mix it the same way. Instead of condensed milk, I use a little half and half and a splash of sugar free vanilla syrup. Very tasty. 😋❤

The sweetened condensed milk is what specifically ties it to Vietnamese prep. Your recipe- though surely tasty- isn’t something similar, it’s a whole different vibe. It’s like replying to a chocolate chip cookie recipe by saying “I do something similar except I use oatmeal & I mix in raisins instead of chocolate chips.” Yes but no lol Edit: Just noticed your comment is months old.
