If you are using hot water to disolve it, it may be the reason why you cant achieve the consistency with a coffee frother. Basically, you want to incorporate air in the coffee and water mixture and the hot water makes the air bubles pop. My tip (I have been doing this forever): use very little hot water to disolve and then top up with cold water. Or just leave the mixture to cool before frothing. If you use a brand like Nescafe, it will disolve easily in cold water too. Also, many cheap imitations of Nescafe won froth no matter of the tools one uses.
@ЈеленаЈариќ4 жыл бұрын
Also, coffee with sugar takes longer to froth.
@TheHappyNoona4 жыл бұрын
Јелена Јариќ i have a question can you help me. I want to froth some milk, i used cold milk then put it in microwave for 30 sec because that’s what i watched in youtube. But the bubbles popped after i microwaved it. So now the milk is hot, i tried to froth it again and i succeeded. Why does the videos say to use cold milk but then mine didn’t froth that much while it was cold. Did i do something wrong? 🥺🥺🥺

Hey guys! Here is a pro tip. I usually use a hand whisker, I grab it between my palms and roll it faster. It takes only 2-3 minutes and makes extremely creamy mixture. Also we drink it with straw starting from above taking the coffee cream and slowly pushing the straw towards the milk while siping. Haha that's just how we prepare and drink it and it works best.

When we lived in Karachi for a few years in my teens - seems like a hundred years ago - we made a HOT coffee version of this all the time. One tsp. sugar, one heaped tsp good quality instant coffee hand-whisked in a dash of hot water, and approx. 4.5 oz of scalded milk (or a combination of boiling water and hot milk) poured over it per cup. I typically hand-mixed enough for two at a time, just with a tsp! No mixer. It had to be done vigorously, but didn't seem to take that long. Then you divided it in to two cups and poured the hot milk/water over each and it was frothy and delicious! I stopped taking sugar in my drinks shortly after that so never made it again, but I would still prefer it hot. Now a sugarless cappuccino does it for me. But I was curious as to this sudden "new" trend on the net, and so enjoyed your video, thanks!

I tried this and I will say it's a little strong for me personally so maybe add more sugar and less coffee. Tips - definitely use a HAND MIXER. I swear it's so much better. When you do use it though, grab a paper towel a cover the top of the bowl. Takes about 3 minutes. - Make a big batch. You can store it in the freezer and save it for later. Apparently it's a common drink in El Salvador. I personally didn't know, but my mom said she had it all the time. She calls it cafe listo or espumita. Feel free to ask questions in the comments.

I love this idea and I have tried it. However, the top part (Sugar/Coffee/Water) is super strong and the rest is just regular milk. You really have to make it, and then spend more time mixing it in, which is quite difficult because of how thick the mixture gets, or wait for it to slowly infused with the rest, which also takes a lot more time and the ice melts, watering it down. So idk if I'm just missing the point or doing it wrong, but if someone could inform me haha that'd be awesome because I really do like the idea.

@@margelynroylo2635 It is Greek Frappe! I don't know who served you coffee with bubbles but it's done exactly the same way. The only difference is you start with the frothy coffee on the bottom and you can make it with water only, or half evaporated milk/ half water and if you want to make it extra special you add a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top!

I want to ask 2 question 1. Can we use any coffee powder 2. We should only use electric mixer to wisk or any other🤔
@Lifestyle84 жыл бұрын
You can use any instant coffee powder, I made this coffee using nescafe sachet, it took almost 3 to 5 minutes to become a thick and creamy paste, without machine, you can check this out in my dalgona recipe and how to drink it, on my channel .☺
@nakomochi31174 жыл бұрын
1. You can use any instant coffee 2. You can use an electric mixer and it will be quicker to make or use a whisk which will take longer to make it but you will still have the same creamy texture! I did both ways and I prefer the mixer because it's less time consuming and my hand won't be tired from using the wisk!

@constantinamavrou10494 жыл бұрын
Yep. Is not traditional. Is "new" traditional 😉. And we do It a little bit different. First we choose the glass (big enough 😂) we add water, instant Coffee, and sugar if somebody wants. We use hand mixer. Then we add ice cubes, water or Milk, or both. I prefer 2 Coffee 2 sugar half water half Milk. Im not Coffee lover thats why, most in Greece and Cyprus prefer this without sugar and milk.

i tried making this (failed because of what i am about to say) and i have some tips! - if you don’t have an electric mixer, shake it in a jar with a lid. it’s not that fast but probably faster than using a spoon. makes your arms a little sore though - i saw someone say that it was very bitter and they should have added hot chocolate mix. don’t do that, it goes back to liquid and won’t whip no matter how hard you try, that’s why mine didnt turn out right. still tasted good, but it was just liquid
