I always find the intros for the horror game youtubers to be oddly comforting. They are all different and yet all convey a feeling of being welcomed.

Thank you so much for playing my game! It means a lot to me! If you find time and if you want, please leave a review 🙏🏻 Let me summarize the story for you: You play as Thomas, a WWII veteran who returned home struggling with PTSD. His condition led to addiction, the breakdown of his marriage, and eventually homelessness. Thomas moved into his grandparents' house (Ethel and Arthur), where he finally found sobriety. However, his grandfather, Arthur, became bitter and jealous over the years of his wife, Ethel who was a famous author, and Arthur, a WWI veteran and talented painter, felt he deserved more recognition-if not all of it. Knowing about Thomas' troubled past, Arthur used his grandson’s PTSD and history of addiction to frame him for Ethel’s “unaliving”

Sounds interesting! The intro made me laugh though 😂 like "oops sorry to hear that, wanna get coffee and talk about it ?" vibe. Pretty good game for a first time dev and done in such a short time. A bit confusing at times but it's understandable. I hope the dev will make a game about Claire's story, it would be interesting.

Thank you lol I’m the dev by the way. I summarized the story in his comments. Also, the sequel “Claire” is on Steam (not released) but can be wishlisted as it’s still in development. It will go more into Claire’s story.

For the record, you don't have to fight in a war, or server in the military in any capacity to have PTSD, any trauma can be elevated to PTSD, depends on the person, I was cornered by family in a kitchen with a long ranged firearm leveled at my head, I have PTSD from this, and can no longer persue any cullinary aspirations or function normally because of it. I can't even do the dishes and have to have others do them for me. Shit sucks.

I love the skybox! Reminds me when we went to Utah camping and you could see every star in the sky. Just don’t get views of the sky like that in the city.

A really solid debut on the indie scene. Mention of Ethel being a famous author or having her books in the home might have been a good idea, to make players aware of her status. A letter or a note hinting at Arthur's resentment may have helped too, but maybe that would make things too obvious. As it is it's a functional and well written game, if not the most comprehensible. Thanks Kravin!

Thank you so much for the kind words. I really do appreciate it I put a lot of work into the story and the sequel is going to be every betters. The grandfather does hint at his “boredom” and unhappiness in his letter within his bedroom. The room where the tape recorder is. I hint just enough as to not give away too much and mess up the plot twist before the player has a chance to really figure it out for themselves. Also hinting in other notes of him being locked away in his “art room” secluding himself away from his wife and grandson any chance he gets. I agree with having Ethel’s books around the house, but I tried to make up for that by adding a bunch of book selves with a ton of books on them. As I don’t know how to make assets myself yet and at the time didn’t know of anyone that could. Now I do 😊 I also mention Ethel’s status in Thomas’s note that’s in the living room, Maxs note in the bathroom, and Claire’s note in the attic.

I loved this approach of having timestamps for the video, that way it is much easier to pause and continue watching later, thanks for that! Like this a lot. I wish it could go more toward the psychological part, but overall not bad. Also, I recommend you playing "Ignited Entry" - it is so, so good. Best to you 🍻

So haunting story the beginning reminded me of...my grandmother was diagnosed with dementia at a very young age. Most of my childhood memories are of her struggling with it and slowly decline almost my entire life. Towards the end, when she got really bad, everybody took turns caring for her so my grandpa could continue working. At one point, one of my aunts began taking care of her but, let's just say my aunt didn't have the most stable mind. She started making these "jokes" about her killing my grandma and making it look like an accident so my grandma wouldn't suffer anymore. Things like slipping in the shower, giving her the wrong meds or too much, her tripping and falling down the stairs, not cutting her food small enough so she would choke, etc. Grandpa found out about these "jokes" and she wasn't allowed around her for awhile. My cousin took over because she became a certified nurse and my aunt would try to convince her to overdose my grandma. So yeah..
