This is totally out of left field, but my mother was incredibly abusive to me in the past. It was torturous until I was able to move out of the house. And every night, I'd *have* to hug her. And we'd say, "I love you". I can't tell my partners "I love you" anymore. It makes me sick.
@lauriniscool9508Күн бұрын
@@torimaritime6955 Thank you for feeling comfortable enough to share that. It’s really sad to go through something so awful and relate it to those words that are supposed to be so special. Saying it without the feeling attached or with also negative feelings involved mixed into it is extremely damaging. I don’t wish that on anyone but I know this is an extremely common occurrence. My awful step dad would say it to me and I cringed every time I had to say it back.

the shimmering of the bells happened tonight, in a field where i used to play as a child. the echoes of your love were felt alongside the warmest winter wind. i couldn’t shake the shame from my tears, my chest shuddered against my will, it really was a great disruption. i wish you could’ve witnessed the theatre this evening through my eyes, it is overwhelming to explain how it felt. but for a second i swore you were right there beside me. and i think just.. maybe i’m not nothing… if only for a moment.. 🎧

Ethel, I am mesmerized you chose to make this project after hearing your previous works. I create often darker experimental electronic music and enjoy so many genres akin. To see you have success with more pop centric music then proceed with this route is very special and something I wish more successful artists did. It is a gorgeous, disturbing, and ultimately real body of work that I hope receives alot of recognition. Thanks for following your heart.

There is something insanely hypnotic about all of Hayden’s work, but especially this piece. Beyond musically genius, beyond artistry, this is just …other worldly. Deeply unsettling, disorienting and hypnotizing. It’s beyond what words I can use to describe and unlike any feeling an artist has ever made me feel. What a force to be reckoned with and what a privilege to live in the same era that this artist does. I am in love.
