Epic bellowfish is not only a reference to the blobfish, but it is also a breaking bad reference. Epic bellowfish’s yellow hazmat suit is a direct reference to breaking bad. To prove it further, at the end of the description of the monster, you were wondering what the “S’all good monster” meant, and this is a reference to one of the shows characters, Saul Goodman. In the show, Saul’s name came from the saying “S’all good man”, which explains why that is said at the end of the description.

I think a lot of the appreciation I have for Nitebear comes from the Five Nights at Freddy's references, it's not necessarily the most groovy monster in the mix but the creativity and sort of melancholic atmosphere that it gives off if a pretty awesome addition to the final verse. This wave has definitely got me more interested in workshop. This is by far one of the most creative islands yet, along with wublin. The mechanics, EXTREMELY unique monster sounds, and wacky designs is just what i wanted from this island and it very much so feels like that is coming to fruition. If the wait is 2 months per wave i dont really mind honestly. Unlike Amber, it feels the additions are actually impactful to the song and so far none of the monsters have disappointed me. Overall, this island just feels like a much needed breath of fresh air.

These new monsters in Ethereal Workshop are quite a unique bunch to start off with (and also to end the year with as well!) for the future of its updates! It’s also neat to see them bring back the concept for the Magical Sanctum quad to be used as a design for Whaill instead! (And as mentioned from the MSM Live episode: it is also a part of a new monster family that includes the Whisp in it as well!) Also, I think the Christmas vibes that rare Scargo is going for is possibly a reference to one of the starshop decorations, the Givutawai Tree, as both it, and the rare Scargo, share nearly the same color pallet! (Though, it may be a bit difficult for you to distinguish it, because of your colorblindness, if I remember correctly.)
