Story Time: The canyon, known as the Moonglow Rift, stretched endlessly under a pale twilight sky. Its smooth, dark stone floor reflected the light drizzle that never seemed to stop. Mist clung to the air like a second skin, rolling and swirling over the terrain, making the edges of reality blur. The full moon hung low in the sky, impossibly large and glowing like an ethereal lantern. Few dared to traverse this secluded place, for the mist played tricks on the mind, and the unbroken silence was unnerving. But those who came sought the same thing: the power of Luna. The Arrival Cassian Dray was one of the seekers. A man of thirty-five, he had spent years roaming the lands in search of meaning, driven by a dream that haunted him since his youth. In the dream, he always stood in a place just like this - a canyon drenched in mist, with the moon shining impossibly bright, and a voice calling his name from somewhere distant. He wasn’t entirely sure the Moonglow Rift even existed until two weeks ago, when he overheard travelers at an inn whispering about a hidden god of the moon carved into the canyon walls. The words were vague, as if they themselves didn’t believe the stories, but Cassian knew. This was the place from his dreams. Now, he stood on the smooth rock floor, his boots echoing faintly in the misty expanse. The air was cool and damp, charged with a strange energy that prickled against his skin. Cassian paused, looking up. The moon seemed so close he felt he could touch it, its glow bathing the canyon in a surreal light. “It’s here,” he whispered to himself, his breath forming clouds in the chill. The Discovery For hours, Cassian wandered, the mist thickening around him, obscuring everything but the glow of the moon above. The cliffs loomed on either side, towering and smooth, their surfaces untouched by time. He felt disoriented, as if the canyon shifted subtly with every step. Just as his resolve began to waver, the mist parted briefly, revealing something massive and gleaming ahead. Cassian froze, his heart racing. The stone head was impossibly smooth, its features elegant and serene. It was carved directly into the canyon cliff, half-shrouded by the swirling mist, as if nature itself was reluctant to reveal its full majesty. The face was feminine, with closed eyes and a faint, knowing smile. A sense of timelessness radiated from it, as though it had always been there, waiting. This was Luna, the god of the moon’s power. Cassian felt a tremor pass through him, a mix of awe and fear. The Connection He stepped closer, his boots slipping slightly on the damp rock. The air grew heavier, charged with an almost electrical intensity. Standing before the statue, he noticed something uncanny: the moon, massive and luminous, hung perfectly aligned with Luna’s gaze. Cassian sat cross-legged on the stone floor, unsure of what else to do. The moonlight enveloped him, its glow warm despite the chill in the air. He closed his eyes and focused on his breathing, letting the mist and drizzle wash over him. Time lost meaning. Minutes, hours - perhaps even days - seemed to pass as he meditated. He felt the moon’s light penetrate him, not just physically but spiritually, as though its glow was cleansing something deep inside. Then came the voice. “Why do you seek me, Cassian?” His eyes snapped open. The statue’s face remained still, its expression unchanged, but the voice was undeniable. It was soft yet powerful, filling the canyon like a melody carried on the mist. “I… I don’t know,” he stammered. “I’ve dreamed of this place for years. I thought… I thought you could tell me why.” The voice paused, as if considering. “The moon’s light reveals all truths. But truth is not given - it is uncovered.” Cassian frowned, the cryptic words stirring something in his chest. A Glimpse Beyond The mist began to swirl faster, and the moon’s light grew brighter, almost blinding. Cassian shielded his eyes, but when he looked again, the canyon had transformed. The smooth rock floor now shimmered like glass, reflecting the stars above. The cliffs seemed taller, their edges sharper, and the mist took on a silvery hue. But most striking of all was the figure standing before the statue. It was a woman, ethereal and translucent, her features identical to Luna’s carving. She wore a flowing robe that seemed woven from moonlight, and her eyes glowed faintly. “Are you… Luna?” Cassian asked, his voice trembling. “I am what you perceive me to be,” she replied. “The moon’s power is not in its light, but in its reflection. It shows you who you are, who you could be. That is why you were drawn here.” Cassian’s mind reeled. He wanted to ask a thousand questions, but before he could speak, the woman reached out, her hand brushing his forehead. In an instant, visions flooded his mind. He saw himself at different points in his life - moments of triumph, of failure, of love, of loss. Each scene was bathed in moonlight, as if the moon had always been watching, guiding him. The Return When he came to, the woman was gone, and the canyon had returned to its misty stillness. The statue of Luna remained, unchanging, its serene smile seemingly more enigmatic than before. Cassian felt different. The ache of uncertainty that had plagued him for years was gone, replaced by a strange clarity. He didn’t have answers, but he felt at peace with the questions. As he stood to leave, he glanced back at the statue one last time. The moon still hung perfectly in place, its glow unwavering. “Thank you,” he whispered, unsure if the words were for the statue, the moon, or himself. The mist thickened as he walked away, the canyon swallowing him once more. The Question Lingers Years later, travelers to the Moonglow Rift would often speak of a faint glow in the mist, as if the moon itself descended into the canyon to greet them. Some claimed to hear whispers, soft and distant, like an ancient god speaking through the fog. None could explain the phenomenon, but the stories always ended the same way - with the seekers leaving changed. As for Cassian Dray, he was never seen again. Some believed he had found the answers he sought and vanished into the mist, while others thought the moon had claimed him. And in the quiet canyon, Luna’s serene face continued to watch, her gaze eternally fixed on the moon.

Brilliant as usual. Takes me to a parallel universe, which I don't know, but where I obviously have lived many lives before. Listen, Orlando, why is it, that I can't see other badges? Your comment sections under your vids should be full of them. Your art is definitely worth supporting and you are, too. With all this AI around, music like this makes a difference, because there is human creativity behind it. Never succumb to the siren songs of AI. Please...

Thank you my friend, it’s great to see the bronze badge next to your name ! Means a lot to me. Composing ambient music is the only thing I’m good at, it’s also the only thing that gives me purpose and meaning, so I definitely won’t be passing the responsibility over to AI : - ) I enjoy this too much, and love engaging with you guys in the comments. Have a great winter break, my friend, and thanks for your support as always
