I agree that sustainable and ethical practices are paramount. For example like this guy, I just go fishing for my seafood. I haven’t bought seafood and don’t eat shop bought fish. The fishing industry is awful.

Too bad ethical = unsustainable. Theres billions of humans my guy. Factory farming is done because its needed to keep up with consumption.

Here’s the thing, if an animal gets stressed it can impact the flavor of the meat. That’s specifically why if you look at every one of the commercial ones in the US you’ll find that up until the animal dies it’s kept as comfortable as possible.
@makessensetokickurheadjr879Ай бұрын
You talk about flavor....consider the dread and fear and horror they must experience ...and that we put that in our bodies without any care...its wrong and i dont doubt we find out in the future its responsible for numerous health issues...possibly even mental health issues.

@makessensetokickurheadjr879 Now, I'll agree with ya, it's horrible that animals should suffer in such a way for food consumption. I agree with the blanket statement that should be made. We should be trying to make any form of killing animals in such a way that they do not need to fear. However, this person you replied to was saying that on a fundamental level. There is quite a lot of Farmers that do try and exercise this blanket statement. Yes so the meat quality is better, but even tho goals don't align, the results stay the same.

@@makessensetokickurheadjr879 that is not a problem at all. Just think about any interaction that occurs between a predator and a prey in the wild. They experience the same thing and I would argue even worse.

Me to the vegan guy: Ever heard of the law of Nature “Survival of the Fittest”. Do u think a lion or a tiger thinks before killing a prey on whether it is good or bad.

do you look at a dead chicken and figure you want to take a bite out of it?
@Gunautist43Ай бұрын
@@nyle-no1yjno ofc not I need to see it alive freshness guarantee ofc. As someone who's seen the life leave many creatures to continue living via food. Death is a natural part of life. Animals die for me to live every single day. If I can't handle that I should kill myself because there's no way around it. Even if you try the whole vegan vegetarian route. You'll only end up suffering even more trying to run from a problem that you cannot escape. Face reality and get over it.

I don’t personally eat most meat for ethical reasons, but I also agree that hunting for your meat vs. buying it from a supermarket are two completely separate conversations. Killing something and eating it is incredibly natural, it’s farming animals in torturous conditions and slaughtering them that feels wrong to me. That’s just my personal discomfort with the idea though, I wouldn’t judge someone for feeling differently
@Gunautist43Ай бұрын
To me it's like zoos when done well it's good when done bad it's bad but to me that feels oxymoronic because anything good done bad is bad and done good is good that's how the world works.

Ever seen other carnivores and omnivores eat their food? Nothing ethical about nature. At least we give mercy before we eat out food.

Chickens will kill each other just for dominance and would eat mostly bugs given the opportunity. Is the chicken justified?

Literally all animals are thinking about death. Their day-to-day is just trying to survive so something else doesnt eat you and youve got enough energy to eat and make more of you

Hunting animals in the wild is quite brutal as well. Dying in 30 seconds would be a brutal, agonising way to go. But nature is brutal as well. Herbivores are hunted by carnivores routinely in the wild

Vegetarian for 20 years. Totally agree. There's a gulf of difference between industrial farming and doing something natural like hunting and fishing.
