SOME CORRECTION: In solving rational expression first we should have to restrict our Universal set. Then after we can go to the solution. The solution we get is x=1 and x=2, but x=2 is not in our U therefore the solution is only x=1. The answer is D.

In ur question 2005 first question C also the answer because when we insert 3 in the denominator the numerator also be 0 so this contradict the rule of vertical asymptote. so at 3 we have a hole But not V.Asymptote
