Golden age of music has long past in western societies, as well as Ethiopia. We are not looking at the likes of Marvin Gaye, Ella Fitzgerald, Billy Holiday, Luis Armstrong, Michael Jackson, Duke Ellington, Cesaria Evora, Ali Farka Toure, Mariam Makeba, Kassa Tesema, Tilahun Gessese, Bizuyea........ coming to existence. Popular culture is what picks musicians than pure talent and dedication. Ethiopian music has an element of uniqueness in it’s original form. Instead of nurturing it, we seem to run away from it more and more. Buzuyea can sing. Looking at this video, it is not just her voice, her whole body(hair to toe) sings. You can sense her personality with in her tone. RIP
