In September 18th ERT anounced, that the artist who will represent Greece in Eurovision 2025 will be determined via a national final. Every participant will have to submit their entry from October 18th 12pm until November 8th 12pm In total 187 songs were submited, 162 received the candidate status and 25 were cut for not following specific guidelines (there is a rumour that songs were cut because their length was three minutes and one or two seconds) Because of the short notice from ERT (about 7 weeks) artists had the choice to submit their song in demo form and do some minor changes after In January 10th the artists competing in the national final were revealed through the ERT show airing from 9am to 12pm that day, the artists themselves found out that they qualified from that show as well!! ERT also anounced that the national final will be held at Christmas theater in the Galatsi Olympic center on Thursday January 30th from 21:00 to 00:00 The artists could submit the final form of their songs until Sunday January 19th 12pm On various interviews Georgina and John, Nafsika Gavrilaki, Kostas Ageris and Andy Nicholas confirmed that what we heard was their demo and that they will perform a revamped and improved version of their songs on the national final On a different interview Konstantinos and Kostas shared a very interesting story, apparently over the years Konstantinos (a massive Eurovision fan that have represented Cyprus in 1996 and 2005 and in 2002 as a member of One) were keep teasing Kostas one day you and me are going to Eurovision, last summer they were touring in Germany and Konstantinos said to him, I am going to need you in the autumn and left it vague. Kostas then left to tour Australia and returned back to Greece November 6th, because of the jet lag he missed and/or didn't answer some calls from Konstantinos, the next day he calls him back and Konstantinos says to him "the future awaits us pack your bags we are going to Eurovision" Kostas asks when are we going? Well we have to submit the song until tomorow midday, apparently they were thinking because of their career longevity fame status and connections in the industry that they would find a studio easily, they were searching for studio to do the recording all day. They did manage to find one opening for that day at 22pm Konstantinos had already compose the song found the lyricist record his part and did the production of his parts, then they record Kostas part which he finished in one take perfectly (he is one of the best in Greece for the past 22 years) and left then Konstantinos stayed up all night to do the mixing the production and send it to his label for the legal stuff and they did manage to submit the song three hours before the deadline expired. From that story we can tell that Kostas Klavdia Xanova and Georgina&John submited their entry also the last day, Kostas Ageris did admit that because he was keep adding stuff until literaly the eleventh hour, he submited his song 10 minutes before the deadline. In Janury 20th all the artists gathered together for the draw to determine the order of the final which is 1 Rikki 2 Thanos 3 Kostas 4 Andy 5 Klavdia 6 Konstantinos and Kostas 7 Georgina and John 8 Barbz 9 Evangelia 10 Dinamiss 11 Nafsika 12 Xanova Now I can tell you a lot of stories from the past two weeks because they are the talk of the town but what we did get from them is that all of them are very fun and cool people (there was a joke that after the final they should collab all together in a single song) and most of them have quite the resume and worked or mentored from some very very very big names For example Nafsika was the wonderkid of the music industry two decades ago, she has already an EP with 12 songs at 9 years old, then moved with her family in New York at 13 and became a composer and a singer. She has composed a song that was sang by Celine Dion. Barbz at age 15 was a finalist fro Greeks got talent at age 16 she entered a different show and was Eleni's Foureira favourite contestant at age 18 she participated on Americas got talent and passed the auditions with three YESes from Heidi Klum Sofia Vergara and Simon Cowel she wasn't able to travel back to America for Judge cuts because of Covid restrictions. At age 21 she got signed from Sony Universal Germany and participated with various djs and other singers in a big concert on new Years eve at the Brandemburg gate in front of 90,000 people. Xanova Xan has Greek, American, Polynisian and Swedish heritage, her song is composed from the composer of both Loreen winning songs as well the composer of Greece's 2012 entry she has participated on junior eurovision 2006 finishing 6th and the American idol until the bootcamp phase her mentor was Mariah Carey, all the 12 contestants sang part of their songs acapella Xanova was the best of them all and said that she can hit that big note in the end and will keep it as a surprise Kostas won the voice of Greece in 2015 Thanos is an X-Factor finalist in 2022 Klavdia is a voice finalist in 2018 (her mentor was Helena Paparizou and won her battle against Georgina Kalais) also last year made a TikTok singing a cover of Christina Aguileras Hurt almost five minutes later and without tagging her Aguilera herself liked the video Anyway it's gonna be one hell of a show on Thursday because we are gonna have Fokas Evangelinos as stage director, Sakis Rouvas and Elena Paparizou will serve as the hosts and be part of the interval act alongside the Cypriot representative this year and Marina Satti Bookmakers have Klavdia as the big favourite to win and many agree with that...

Kalvdia's song is not just a song...its greek poetry with music which is beyond eurovision...it has deep symbolism about genocide of Pontiac Greeks in Asian Minor during 1920, as she admitted herself...she has Pontic heritages...she choose to sing about this national tragedy
