lol the generator thing is funny because it’s not weird at all to have a generator. Especially if you live in a more mountainous area that’s maybe more rural. I used to live in the mountains in Washington state and we had solar panels and two generators, but we were also still hooked up to city electricity. Just being in the mountains means there’s more chances for the power to go down if a tree falls or something else happens, so it’s always smart to have a backup generator just in case. Just because Etho has a generator doesn’t mean he’s off the grid somewhere lol, lots of people have generators

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i love how etho is arguably one of the most normal people on the server, he's just been around for so long that he's gotten elevated to this insanely high status, but i genuinely consider grian, mumbo, scar, xisuma, cub, joe, nearly all the other hermits to be more weird/eccentric than him. maybe if he wasn't so secretive i'd rank him more towards the middle? because mumbo and grian post about their lives and such so we know grian's got a marine biology degree and mumbo does film stuff, but like bdubs is Almost to the same level of "normal" despite being... bdubs... And despite talking about his life (at least in his ads) he's just a normal guy! nothin' special! etho is simply canadian, it's not that weird to encounter a moose when you live in like The moose country, use generators when you live in a cold area, and be secretive when you're such a pillar of a community!

I just imagine Etho to be this nice and reserved guy who has great technical and problem-solving skills, and grew up with a humble background. I think I heard from somewhere he worked at a greenhouse of some sort, either a family business or something else, and he has here and there mentioned some practical things he's worked on (mentioned very vaguely of course though, like installing shingles and etc.), so it gave me the impression that he might work with something pretty hands-on. I also can't tell if he was joking about selling generators in the video lol, and if he wasn't and he does sell something related to that, then that's surely interesting, at least to me. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I also heard he never went to college?? Yet, he's incredibly intelligent and knows a whole lot about systems, concepts, and theories (as if he has gotten higher-level education), so I feel like he self-taught himself (Of course, you don't need to go to college to be intelligent, I'm just saying he is very knowledgeable and a quick learner). The way he approach redstone seems as though he might have taught himself some bit of computer science or just programming in general. Even with building, and mentioned by Tango, he approaches it scientifically which is unique. Etho definitely is someone that is willing to self-teach himself things if necessary (just like how he teaches himself color theory, reading music and transposing them onto noteblocks, and even just recently, he just implemented texturing so quickly) I can't seem to categorize Etho as normal or weird lol, I kind of see him as both?? He's just such a balanced person that it makes him oddly different to me. What's interesting about him is that despite being such a logical and intuitive person at times, he is also empathetic, wise, and practical? I think it's rare to find balanced people like this tbh

@analogbunny8 ай бұрын
@christophercjc2 Well just imagine if someone said they liked catfish fishing but were worried about gators. The only place you'd run into both of these would be Florida panhandle, Louisiana, and maybe southern Mississippi. In the case of Canada, there's only four types of bear, and their ranges are generally known; grizzly/Kodiak in the west, brown in the east, black from coast to coast but not too far north, and polar in the tundra. It kind of divides the country into bear quadrants. And yeah "Edmonton area" makes sense, but he's probably far further to the south. If he was using MagicJack and satellite internet until just a few years ago he's probably between where the weed farms are and the painted badlands. If he lives near the weed farms, that would compute as to why he's generally private (on a PG channel). Even if he's not a grower himself or the family greenhouse business isn't pot, just being in that area would raise eyebrows among Those Who Know. And yeah pot is legal in Canada, but not for most of the rest of the world, and if you're the only tree or tulip bulb or tomato nursery in a weed valley, you'd probably just not feel like answering questions.
