Etho MindCrack SMP - Episode 151: Custom Tree

Today we spend some time around spawn and work at doing some landscaping around the EthoCorp empire.

MindCrack is a server Guude started in late 2010. It is a private (whitelisted) server. We are currently not accepting applications.

Traumatic? I was eating crunch berries (generic captain crunch) cereal and noticed some black spots in my bowl. I figured it was the small bits of crushed cereal from the bottom of the bowl on my spoon so I kept eating. I noticed it again and felt this time I saw it move. Upon close inspection of my spoon and the cereal there were hundreds of ants in it. Crawling on the spoon, cereal, bowl, my hand, etc. I about had a heart attack... So I grabbed some beer and chugged and swished and gurgled 2 bottles down hoping to kill anything in my mouth that wasn't dead because I was freaked the heck out. And that's when we found out we had hundreds of thousands of ants in out pantry that came out of the wood work for a huge bag of dum-dum suckers! No, literally. Apparently our walls were MADE of ants, and I just shoveled (at the time) spoonfuls of them into my stomach. I am now afraid of ants due to waking up with them all over me (again because of dum-dum suckers) and in my mouth. Done. Nope. I hate ants. Burn your house down and build a new one. This one is tainted with evil.

05:15 You don't need to relog. Just press F3+A to reload chunks. It fixes the rendering errors. :)

I fell asleep a couple hours after watching this then I had a crazy dream I looked at my finger nail and saw a fruit fly in it and all of a sudden I was swarmed by fruit flies. They were all over the place trying to fly in my mouth as I'm swatting them off I wake up to the noise of me slapping myself and flailing my arms around. Thanks a lot Etho.

The monster tree looks like the results of Etho's Lab experimenting with tree genetics and mutations. I would not make copies of him though, he won't look unique if you do that.

Hey Etho, I've got a lot to say so here goes nothing! On the fence you should alternate either poppies or red tulips with azure bluets. Also you should make a giant creeper tree as a memorial to Spaz the creeper general. Also, I feel your randomness woes. It's way to hard for me to do something that's not symmetrical and when something isn't it BOTHERS me. All in all a great episode so keep on doing what your doing!

Etho, the area between Ethocorp, Dangerzone Memorial and BTC's Horse camp kind of has a dip in it. I think It would make a great place to put a custom lake. (MindCrack Lake) Im sure other people could throw in suggestions as well but just keep that in mind :D.

build a couple tree houses in the big oak trees and put villagers in them and make them a little tree village because no one lives by you so you can give yourself neighbors XD

Etho, another fantastic episode. I love the detail/building/prettying things up episodes. The monster tree, great addition. I wouldn't do more up around the curve, but maybe another beside the existing one on the other side of the path. And another layer of bushes/trees behind the existing trees and Quickie Mart would definitely be a good addition. You have an eye for details. The fence is great. Looks so much better than spawn. The cobble is to overbearing imo. Keep up the great episodes!

I like that fence, Etho. Also, you're missing some trap doors on a lamp. I think the monster hedge/tree thing is alright. I don't think you should do more monster trees, atleast not like that. If you could do something like your statue and make a dinosaur, and/or do hedges along the outside, that go around the area. Ultimately it's up to you, though. [I just think it's a little cheesy. xD]

This is how I want to play Minecraft. With a bunch of online friends who are mature in a sense they don't lie, steal or cheat. They play fair and have fun. If I could find this type of community. Etho, can't you test if you can sprint on horses using your Horse Speed Clock? Because if you press your "Sprint" key (Not double tapping "W") when on a horse (Or any mount) your screen gets pushed back as if you where running. But it is hard to tell if you actually move faster on the horse when doing it, or if its just your screen being pushed back causing a illusion that makes it look faster, your the only person I know that has a Horse Speed Checker so I hope you can check :)

Hey there. Was watching back your series (the good ol' times). I listened to your fruit fly story and i wanted to share something that happened last summer (summer 2016!) I was a at friend's palce and drinking some 7up then I felt something soft and hairy on my lips.. was a hornet and still alive! It flew away.. so I laughed and let my soft drink there for furthur use. Later on, i return take a sip then something strange was in my mouth. That darn hornet got drown in my can!! Hey Etho. I had a similar problem with my wireless Mouse/Keyboard. If you have USB3 ports it seems to interfere with the wireless signal. I connected the wireless dongle to an extension cable and it solved my problem, might work for yourself too. Keep the videos coming, I am a regular watcher of Mindcrack, Mindcrack UHC and your lets play.

Hey Etho, have you considered setting up some ATM booths around spawn? I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to set up a system where paying an iron ingot for example would allow access to the Ender Chest. Might not make much headway, but should be fun.
