Today we setup the sky portal system at Ethopia.

You should make a big glass dome and it can be a no-snow globe. Like a snow globe, but the snow is on the outside instead of the inside.

Etho, you can just spill water over the sow, fill the sky with glass, take a bucket of water, and just place it, let it flow, then pick it back up. It can only ruin any torches you place, and even if it floods into your Lake, when you pick it up it will go back to normal, so its faster then Spamming Torches or manually removing the snow.

It will be a lot more difficult than that. Water makes a straight line down hill (unless it hasn't been fixed yet, thought that was a snapshot thing,) and will barely remove any snow. It works great in plains or tundra, anywhere flat, but not in mountains. He'd be better off tossing torches around and waiting or running around like a mad man with twenty stone shovels.

Etho the death games problem is probably due to a slight change in the comparators in the new snapshots. I don't know how exactly you would fix it, but doc had to make some changes to his witch farm because of it too.

Xeon sega works great on mountains - 1 water block could remove 100s of snow if placed in the right spot. yes its not perfect but faster than a shovel

I think it'd be best if you built the glass dome over Ethopia, although that'll be a heck of a lot of work, so you might just roll with it. Whatever you do, don't leave please. And the tree farm: just finish it like this, and build other buildings in a different style, if you don't like that style anymore. Btw: your tree farm looks like a frog from above :P

Instead of a glass canopy how about using a jungle or oak leaf block canopy with wooden tendrils going along the leaves to give it a natural look? and also have some glass blocks or missing leaves on the canopy to let in sunlight.

E fizzle, those ambient creepy sounds have been in minecraft for a couple years. As far as how frequent they happen there isn't any difference. Just watching your videos you used to ignore them but now that you pointed them out they appear to be more consistent because you're aware of them. It's a little psychological occurrence that happens with everything. Anyway great video, you're awesome.

Hey Etho, the reason the Death Games isn't working is because there needs to be one open space in the dropper/dispenser. Hope this helps.

I'd say you should find a new place if it's causing too much trouble, maybe save that place as a secondary base or for whatever you want to do with it and have your real base somewhere better.

Honestly Etho, I really like the snow it adds some variation and really goes great with the style of building that you normally do. Also, I really like the area that you've decided to build in. It's just all around a nice area so if you really don't like the snow that much make the glass cover.

Ethopia sounds kinda like a dystopian place... So you could make the huge glass dome, but have it encase all of Ethopia. I know, that would be a TON of glass, but it could look good and get rid of the snow. Then you also have a theme going for you!

Maybe make a giant snow flake in the sky and put your water ways a couple blocks below it so you maintain the height and the view. The snow flake would keep the water from freezing and would fit the environment.

Make stuff out of snow and ice, it would match the building. Also you could make dispensers throw out snowballs and make it snow like that.

Instead of putting glass, maybe try finding a spider spawner, make it a farm, and stay AFK at it. Then place all the string you get on the sky, on top of Ethopia. Then it won't snow there :D WAY cheaper and easier than getting sand then cooking it then placing it. Also, kinda funny how you're complaining about the water freezing when the one of the reasons you deleted your old world was because the water WASN'T freezing xD

i was waiting for a death from that fall :D had a great laugh. i love the snow, i was in awe everythin it was snowing/saw all the snow :D. it makes it unique. so used to the bright green grass/grass everywhere you build, so its a nice change. for the water road in the sky, cant you put glowstone above the water, so it gives it light, which will keep the water from freezing and its a block above the ice so it wont freeze. though it might be a bit hard to do at that height and make it look nice

It would be cool if you built the ceiling of glass, maybe even shape it and make designs in it, maybe a dome. I had an idea though using your portal logic, you can make a maze where the portals are different entrances and the portals switch on and off to make the maze different most of the time.
