Etho MindCrack SMP - Episode 125: First Order

Today we attempt to light up EthoCorp without torches, set up some boat dispensers and prepare for a boat elevator, set up a hidden minecart delivery system, and attempt to fulfill our first bulk potion order.

This was a great extended episode here, good to see you doing some cool stuff around your base, now known as "Ethopia" haha! Who would've thought you could have so much 'fun' with trying to push 6 chest minecarts around the nether hub too xD luck must have very much been on your side for that one that fell, to be the only empty one out of them all! I guess if it had been a full one instead. you could've emptied your inventory into one of the many double chests around the nether hub, and then went down and filled up your inventory with all the potions from that minecart :P but thankfully you didn't have to do any of that anyway! I think you should charge people extra for delivery too, seeing as you put a lot of effort into getting all those potions to addlington in a fairly fast manner!

Etho, you should set up a hopper+dropper+water-system to automatically transport the boats to the boat dispensers from one central chest, so you don't have to deal with refilling them one by one!

When you moved the chest carts over the minecart setup at the entrance to his nether tunnel, some of the potions went down into the hopper and into the dispenser. That is why it shot a healing potion out when you pushed the button and will explain why a few of your potions went missing.

Aqua affinity makes you mine at the same speed underwater as long as you are in solid water blocks and standing on a block. Respiration makes your breath last longer underwater and improves your vision underwater.

Etho, for delivery, you should make a truck outside people's houses with the potions inside.

You could always use a dropper hooked up to your overworld portal to dispense a bunch of potions into the nether. Then when you go through the portal, you simply pick them up and put them in minecarts.

I liked the minecart loading station for your potions. Delivery could be very difficult. Maybe when ever hoppers work with ender chests, then delivery will be really easy. Hope that happens.

Actually, the bulk-order potions he is charging for...but when people grab just a couple potions, you're correct he doesn't ask for anything. I was suggesting he charge shipping/handling on the bulk-order potions :P

In order to prevent snow gathering on the ground you could plant grass, flowers, trees etc on your mountains. That could look nicer than plain grass.

for transporting your Potions, you can set up a hopper system with the ender chest. then it refills the potions as you take them out the other side. just bring a ender chest with some normal chests to where they want them delivered. (or your could also put a trap chest on a block of tnt when ever someone orders somethign :)

Etho, just add the fact that nether tunnels must support donkeys/horses if you have to travel a long distance, otherwise they collect their order themselves.

In regards to boat launchers.... You should set up a light that only goes off if dropper is empty. That way you would know which ones need to be refilled even before you shoot them.

you could say that if people have an easy transport system from the nether hub, for example space for donkeys they pay less, but if you have to move stuff many times it costs more.

With the water elevator you should have it loop around, so a waterfall comes off the mountain covering the elevator ENTRANCE!! :)

Etho you should do like a lot of boardwalks from island to island and them build your house in the middle of everything and make it go underwater and such ways .. Just a suggestion , it would look really nice (:

To deliver potions you should connect hoppers from the chests with the potions to a ender chest you just bring a enderchest to the ordered cation of the delivery, and the chest should refill while youre deliviring :)

Etho, two things: First, I agree with other comments, charge a delivery fee. It's shipping from Canada, so I think a +1 diamond would be appropriate. Second, though I'm not apposed to snow on your mountains, I would be shocked if the Etho who terraformed an entire valley would shy away from putting in a layer of glass across the sky. And think of the montage video!

You should put a sign on the side of your "mailbox" and put a piece of redstone in it. When people put something in the box, they should flip the redstone upsidedown so you know you have mail.

You should have a rail system running from your nether portal in the nether hub. That way when you push them through the portal they go straight onto another track. Then you can split the track.

Time to add a delivery fee if their nether tunnel isn't wide enough for donkeys! That would incentivize upgrading their tunnels. Or have them install a delivery area near the hub, and let them figure out how to transport them.

Would be awesome if you could completely automate the bulk potion orders. Use the pulse length filter from the LP to allow users to order a specific potion by clicking a button which would trigger a specific set of brewing stands for that potion. Use hoppers to automatically place the potions into chests on minecarts. When all the potions are made trigger powered rails to deliver the potions. If possible you could use a system where the carts are only delivered if payment is put into a chest?

You should make and EthoCorp Railway that sends minecarts around the MindCrack world like a train and you should build train stations that it they stop at for a while. You could have arrival times using clocks and I think this would look awesome around the MindCrack world. It would also be very helpful for the MindCrackers. You could also have the train tickets have a charge of 1 iron bar or something. Please like if you think this is a cool idea.

It's not a heal system, you have a hopper, meaning that when the chest minecart came through it put it's potions in the hopper! 39:00

Etho you should have a set up so that you pull a lever and when the minecarts go though the portal they wizz along the floor, fall through a hole and get automatically sent to your entrance in the nether hub where you can pick them up and put them on minecarts elsewhere

Hey Etho, I have a idea but it might be pretty costly, try make a hopper network under water to send boats to your chest to in case some of your chest are empty. But I think it worth a try. Cause it's quite annoying to fill them up since boats won't stack up.
