Etho what do you think of the current enchantment system? I personally think that it needs to be revamp: I think that the curses are very under used. It would be cool to see curses in all or most of all the books from villages (so to balance them) and the 30 level cap (with better enchantement) could be raised with the trade off of possible curses. What would be your suggestions?

I'm a fan of rougelike games that give positive buffs along with negative ones. I like your idea, but I think the Minecraft community in general would be against it because it would be a big nerf to power. I do agree though that the main issue with enchanting currently is that villager trading just outshines it... as it does with most systems in the game. Things like mending and netherite gear made enchanting less important. The lowered XP cost and easier sources of XP made it less exciting because it was no longer a rare event to enchant something. Either some of those things would need to be addressed to make enchanting good/fun again, or enchanting needs to be given some unique function in the game.

I think the next update with archeology could be a cool introduction to a new enchantment system. Maybe some enchantments could only be found in some of the new structures? Maybe instead of getting enchantments from villagers, you could buy maps to some ruins and go search for them instead.

@@EthosLab I agree, after anvils, and OP villagers the game feels very unbalanced. it doesnt need to be like the old system clicking the item in and out of the enchanting table for hours waiting for that "50" to pop up randomly. but there must be something in between.

Oh my god... It is a perfect analog for a nuclear reactor xD Gotta keep the Shulkers critical! Edit: The shulkers are the fissile material and their projectiles are the neutrons. You want one neutron released by the decay of an atom for every one neutron absorbed by another fissile atom. This keeps the reaction critical, or constant. Madly simplified.

thats actually an interesting idea, the shulker doesnt care about slowness and resistance 6 is a massive reduction in damage. the only issue would be the brewing resources because you would need health pots too eventually, and you would need a timing system to dispense turtle master pots regulaly and health pots less frequently. in theory its a good idea, in practise you would have to test it, but great idea!

Just started a new job last week, I’ve been working long days, and this video was just what I needed. Realized I’ve been watching since before I even had a job, 6 years ago. Thank you so much for all the entertainment you’ve provided over all these years. I still play mine craft to this day and your builds have always been a huge inspiration to me. Take care, bye bye.

Just discovered this series and I really like it so far in just watching this episode. I like the explaining and thought process when making the farm. I also like seeing cool old builds in the underground base. I also like the healthy mindset when you said you know we hate the slow paced episodes but care more that you enjoy making videos in your own time. Probably a reason you keep going on the same world for years.

Not only did Etho not go for any of the existing Shulker Farms, like Doc's or SciCraft's etc., but then he goes and makes an original, amazing design that looks like a nuclear reactor vessel. Completely unique, hilarious, and fun. As long as Etho keeps uploading Minecraft videos, I will always watch them.

I don't hate it hate it hate it when your episodes are completed at a relaxing pace. I am just glad that you still like sharing part of your world with us. Now that I am an adult and have many responsibilities, I can usually only watch new episodes every once in a while--right now I am getting caught up on the LP series for the entire year. You're still the best!

I'm sure we can all agree with me. We would love to see more episodes but really appreciate the time and effort that you put into each episode. I remember when videos were constant and it was great but every ep is more enjoyable now then it ever has been because you seem so much happier playing the game and enjoying what your doing. From all of us, both young and old, from the early days to new and inbetween like I am (ep 382 Potion delivery, was my first ever ep) Thank you Etho, you fill so many of us with joy and it's a true pleasure to be on this journey with you. :)

OMG is this new shulker farm an original Ethos concept? It looks amazing, one of the prettiest farms I've ever seen, and it's an absolutely genius way of farming one of the hardest to farm mobs. Hats off to you Etho :D

I love the design Docm77 came up with but also was thinking I would never be able to build it. Etho's designs always seem possible for the average player and easier to trouble shoot than other designs. I know what I will be building when I get to the end in my current world.

@@Amoschp524 agreed! I built ilmango and doc's farm in a server once. It works amazing but I'm never building one again. THIS design though... it looks like a design i could build and repeat over and over again every time I need a shulker farm.

I really enjoy the framing and movement you do after a cut. You show something way out in the distance for a bit and then look nearby where you are and begin discussing the current happenings. I love seeing that sense of scale and seeing the wonders of the world for a bit, as well as seeing the setting for the next "scene" you've cut to. Really interesting and effective way to set the scene. Love it!
