Etho what do you think of the current enchantment system? I personally think that it needs to be revamp: I think that the curses are very under used. It would be cool to see curses in all or most of all the books from villages (so to balance them) and the 30 level cap (with better enchantement) could be raised with the trade off of possible curses. What would be your suggestions?
@EthosLab3 жыл бұрын
I'm a fan of rougelike games that give positive buffs along with negative ones. I like your idea, but I think the Minecraft community in general would be against it because it would be a big nerf to power. I do agree though that the main issue with enchanting currently is that villager trading just outshines it... as it does with most systems in the game. Things like mending and netherite gear made enchanting less important. The lowered XP cost and easier sources of XP made it less exciting because it was no longer a rare event to enchant something. Either some of those things would need to be addressed to make enchanting good/fun again, or enchanting needs to be given some unique function in the game.

I think the next update with archeology could be a cool introduction to a new enchantment system. Maybe some enchantments could only be found in some of the new structures? Maybe instead of getting enchantments from villagers, you could buy maps to some ruins and go search for them instead.
@tonnie9653 жыл бұрын
@@EthosLab I agree, after anvils, and OP villagers the game feels very unbalanced. it doesnt need to be like the old system clicking the item in and out of the enchanting table for hours waiting for that "50" to pop up randomly. but there must be something in between.

As much as I'd love to see more videos from you, do I love even more to hear that you are loving this slow pace. I would much rather have fewer videos than none due to burnout. :)

I'm glad you take your time to make your episodes and aren't burning out. Younger me would've had the time to keep up with a faster upload schedule. But I have the time to look forward to your episodes and they're consistently so entertaining and honest. Thank you!

My first day of grade 10 is tomorrow and I am sad, logically, but seeing you upload a video made me forget the sadness for a while. Thank you for the vids!

I love the brewing setup you showed us at the start of the episode. I'd like to call it the "Screwer Brewer", because it winds a hopper minecart around as if it were a thread on a screw. Interesting application of game mechanics!

The new shulker farm is a masterpiece. Longtime subscriber here, this might be one of the best farms ive ever seen

I really enjoy the framing and movement you do after a cut. You show something way out in the distance for a bit and then look nearby where you are and begin discussing the current happenings. I love seeing that sense of scale and seeing the wonders of the world for a bit, as well as seeing the setting for the next "scene" you've cut to. Really interesting and effective way to set the scene. Love it!

When there is such a larger community of minecraft content creators it's not on just a few to keep up with how much the fans want to watch. So you, Etho, and the others have a better enjoyable job. It is literally win-win for everyone. I'm happy your not burnt out. Still I very much enjoy your videos. Thank you for such high quality, this amazing farm build today!

Etho! I really LOVE the design of the new shulker farm. Not from a technical standpoint because idk a lick about minecraft mechanics, but the actual aesthetic design? It’s so cool! I know it’s like a big blue pillar but when I saw the water going down the side in waves it looked super futuristic and rad!! Love your hard work!!

Etho I started watching you when I was only ten and now I'm starting college as a math major. It's crazy to me I've been watching you so long and I just wanted you to know that whenever I'm stressed your videos helped me relax. Whenever I see your stuff pop up in my feed I start planning out 30 minutes where I can just do nothing. I love your stuff, and I hope you always enjoy making these videos. P.S You also got 6th grader me to watch naruto, so thank you.

I just have to say, your videos and this series especially have been with me through so much- not to make you feel old but over half my life at this point. Minecraft was my everything in my childhood and this these were my favorite videos. I haven't seriously touched the game in years but I still try to keep up with this series.
