Etihad Airways Airbus A340-500 [A6-EHC] takeoff from Abu Dhabi International Airport [HD]

Departing in the morning around 10:30 in the morning, EY101 bound to New York all the way from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates onboard an Airbus A340-500 with the registration A6-EHC. This is the wing view of the takeoff from runway 31L
The flight was about 14:30 hours long, with an excellent service as always. Food was very good and the business class seats are also very comfortable. No wonder why they are one of the the best airlines in the world!

I think the A340-500 is the most terrifically proportioned post-1980s aircraft ever. It just looks gorgeous from any angle filmed. It just can't look bad. There are simply very few city-pairs the 500 is more economical than the Boeing 777-200LR or 300ER--and really none of them need such ar large aircraft. The new A350-900R will outdo all the 777-200LR, 747-800 or 500HGW even from EZE to SYD. Four engines are a glorious anachronism. And this was the best. The "best 340 Airbus ever built."
