Join my British Pronunciation Course: www.etjenglish.com
Discover some very native phrasal verbs involving the word ''up'' - these are probably phrasal verbs you won't have studied in school. However, they are very commonly used in British, as well as other forms of English.
Remember, you don't NEED an RP British accent to speak English well... There are loads of accents out there! I'm just here to help people who have a love for modern versions of RP.

Dear Elliot, your explanation about 'he turned around and said' was absolutely perfect! Nevertheless, your modesty makes you even a better teacher. Cheers for the lesson!

Interesting, am I the only subscriber from Russia? Your videos are the best way to learn english. I've learned american English since my childhood, but not long time ago I've got a posibility to go to London soon. So I started to learn Brittish accent. And only in Elliott's videos I understand absolutely every word. Thank you for doing such a content. Hope, there are not so many mistakes

Thank you Elliot. Here is my notes. 1. Play up - make a fuss (He's playing up again.) 2. Fed up (of something) - you had enough, you don't want anymore (I'm fed up, I had enough of this) 3. Dress up - wear something formal (Do I need to dress up for this party?) / Dress up costume 4. Make up (a story) - telling lies (Stop making things up, that's not true.) 5. Gobsmacked - shock, can't believe something, surprise (I'm gobsmacked, I can't believe it)
