A little bit of everything, from the usual local and intercity trains, to the night freight trains and the trials of the ETR 470!

Σαν πρώην σιδηροδρομικός είμαι απολύτως απογοητευμένος από την πορεία του σιδηροδρόμου,ανύπαρκτη ευελιξία στην διαχείριση και παραγωγή έργων και παρεμβάσεων,διαγωνισμοί που θα έπρεπε να δημοπρατηθούν πριν τρία χρόνια μόλις και μετά βίας δημοπρατήθηκαν τώρα και αυτοί όχι όλοι,με αποτέλεσμα ο σιδηρόδρομος να εξακολουθεί να είναι ο φτωχός συγγενής των μεταφορών

@@cgcanada88 Προσωπικά έχω διαβάσει άρθρα στα οποία η Ελβετία (που είχε αυτά τα τρένα παλιά) συμβουλεύουν να μην αγοραστούν γτ είναι γεμάτα προβλήματα

Ακομα οχι δυστυχως... ισως προς τον μαρτιο-απριλιο να ξεκινησουν τα δρομολογια, αλλα τιποτα δεν ειναι σιγουρο, περα απο το οτι κλεινουν 1 χρονο που κανουν δοκιμες...

why, ETR 470 is not going on?

There is a problem with the certification of the train... the railway code here (or whatever it is called) demands all trains to have a sandbox for better traction, the ETR does not. The weird thing is that when the train was operating in Switzerland it had, but upon the return to Italy, they removed them since they don't have that sandbox requirement there. There is no way trainose didn't know about it before bringing it here, so it really remains a mystery, why they did it and why they still have not installed it but insist on pushing for making an exception or changing the railway code entirely so it is not a requirement anymore.... Weirdly enough, the latest date they've announce for entering service is March 2022 i think. I don't see that happening though, this whole this is getting ridiculous...
