I like the build-up to this boss better than the Untold that just shows the boss immediately. Unfortunately, Etreant in EO1 and this remaster is just damn easy to defeat.

Really threw me for a loop to see the name Ragnarok, I've been playing Etrian Odyssey IV over the last few months and that's been my guild name in that one.

Oh boy... postgame time! I'm assuming a Protector will be joining the party for that. Unless it actually is possible to beat the dragons and Primevil without one...?

It has been done before but it's an RNG Fest without Protector (Hell it already kinda is with one).

I'm not far in EO1, only b7F, but the QoL that the remasters gave it made it easier to appreciate the game for what it is. I assume 2 will be the same case I do prefer the direction the series went from 3 onwards in combat though, where you can make all sorts of fucked up builds but only if you have a plan. Much ad I wanna use the broken sruff in eo1, it's a lot simpler to use than what 3 onwards offer (things like Bushi subclass for example not withstanding)

Huh, if I recall correctly, the Chieftain's eyes glowed red in the DS version.

That's the Untold remake. The DS version doesn't have that sprite.
