I'll keep saying it. the original DS EO trilogy and the FM versions of the songs on the 3DS games sound like Sega Genesis/Mega Drive chip tune music. Not knocking it, loving it.

There are two very good reasons for that. 1) EO's composer is Yuzo Koshiro, who is well known for his work with Sega Genesis games (Streets of Rage, Revenge of Shinobi exc, Beyond Oasis). 2) The Sega Genesis' sound chip the YM2612 is *very* closely related to the YM2608 which these FM versions of the songs are made from.
