I know that Farm Sim and Snowrunner have the mod download thing in the game, and ATS mods are usually on the workshop, but I still think when they release it to the console, they should add an in-game mod downloader like Farm Sim and Snowrunner have, because mods are pretty useful for the game.

there are games with mods on consoles......Farming simulator and flight simulator are only two examples. but consoles players are used to play games without mods, so I don't think that it will bother them. I for one, play on PC but only with engine sounds mods, that's all I need.

I've been simmin' both ETS2 & ATS, modded, all the DLC & Pro Mods on ETS2, using a Steam Deck docked to a 1080p monitor, after some tweaking through things it looks gorgeous at 30fps! plus I can undock and play like that too if I wanna. A second hand Steam Deck is a good, solid, cheap solution for those wondering! peace.

Imho, they should focus on engine optimization first, because most console games nowadays use DX12/Vulkan, and it demands a lot hardware wise to get a stable 60FPS at Ultra 400%

I wonder how ATS/ETS2 would handle mods for consoles. Hate to say it, but with-out mods. ATS/ETS just isn’t as good. There so much that mods fix or bring to the game that is missing in default version. Like sound engine packs. Cus default engine sounds imo are horrible atm. Better weather effects, more options for trucks and trailers that are lacking core game. Good to see game is coming to current gen consoles. But Imo If they don’t support mods, I don’t think console version will do very well. Time will tell I guess. Where is Vulkan.api update for pc?

Wäre schon eine feine Sache aber dann auch gerne mit entsprechenden mods denn das Standard Spiel ist über die Jahre einfach nichts sonderlich Spezielles mehr wenn man es so nimmt. Es stellt jedes truckgame auf der Konsole in den Schatten das ist allen aufjedenfall bewusst aber mit mods wäre das auf Konsolen ein träumchen in Rosarot 👌🏼😄 ich würde es da natürlich bevorzugen, wenn man wie auf PC seine Spielversion entsprechend der mods anpassen kann. Wenn es heißt ja es ist ein Update da, da möchte ich aufjedenfall NICHT das neueste update haben, wenn ich gerade auf einer schönen Map Combo fahre 🤣🤣🤣 das wäre der größte Schmutz überhaupt. Da macht das auf Konsole nur 2 Wochen bis 3 Monate Spaß haha

The Workshop will definitely not work on consoles, because the Workshop is part of Steam and you will not be able to buy games on the console through it. Unless SCS Software makes its own page for mods, something like Gigants Software has for Farming Simulator. Then all players across platforms could download mods from that site.

That was in old times, have a look at test drive unlimited and tsw 5 difference between pc and console. Some shinny effect on pc to be brighter but the bugs interruption happen on both platform when the games interrupt a short period of time in certain locations of gameplay... The fault comes from the producers as they dont make perfect the games, just release with small bugs and make money

How many PC players on Steam can't even play the last updates of ETS 2 and ATS since their old PCs can't even use DX 11 and don't even have SSD but still use old and slow HDD? The Xbox series X equivalent PC is around a I7 9880K CPU and a RTX 2070 super GPU.......How many PC players are even at that level? For now, it's those people with potatoes PC that hold back ETS2 and ATS of evolving as SCS would want it to.
