Very well, zilla. I must say, I was the same happy to see it coming as I was dissatisfied with the new version of the game and promods, unfortunately. It's really so much fun driving in this academy, it's a challenge and that's great. I myself do it on time, not really being so much cautious about things. It would be fun if there was a board of the best times on each task.

In ATS, the Hit-Box is always larger than the graphic of the vehicle. So interpret the failure as “you came too close.”

I've usually found I can cut very close to buildings and trailers, but I suspect the collision detection is set wider for cabs and vehicles, those seem to be a bit different.

This is the part where I will have the biggest problem but also the part I need the most...lol. It's going to be a nightmare for me. You did pretty good though, it does make you think which makes you better at doing it. I get the frustration, the struggle is real...lol. I'm not sure I'm as interested as I once was.😂

Re: yellow lines. Before backing your trailer look for reference lines in the yard. These could be a seam in the pavement or tire tracks, etc. Take note of where these lie in relation to your parking slot and use them as reference while backing.

That's a great idea and not something I've done too much of in game. Do drivers ever drop cones or markers to help with parking?

Brilliant job, and yes that reversing diagonaly you were doing it perfectly, getting it closer to the truck on the left, i think the collision is wrong on that so should be corrected by SCS, but yeah brilliant reversing 👍🏻😁

I was wondering if it make more sense to just stay away from the near truck and cut is sharper. I think the collision detection field is set wider on vehicles and cabs than it is on trailers and buildings. I've found I can get really close to those things, but not so much with cabs/vehicles.

@@ZillaBlitzPC well if there's a collision on them you'll have to, but when you go further then cut back it's best to get the back of the trailer nearly square on the parking zone then stop and before you start moving again turn the wheel full opposite then slowly start reversing again and it shouldn't push the trailer to far off to come straight back

You're better at reversing then me. A lot of these scenarios are harder then the actual game. I'm playing along with you but with the American version.

There are definitely some scenarios in here that I haven't seen in the game. That diagonal parking one was tricky for me, and I don't think I've seen one like that in the game.

Great work with these scenarios. The one ya kept failing on was obviously due to the hit box on the trucks (when you didn't actually hit em :D ) being to big in this case especially compared to whats possible in game.

Yeah, I thought LAST episode they showed you a weird sort of front mirror to avoid running into walls in front of you. ;-p

Big World has been knocked around a bit with Arkansas, the game updates, and the Driving Academy, but it sounds like it's almost to the place where I can get back to it. I'm not familiar with the Jon Ruda truck mods, but I do think looking at mods will be something to do more of in the future. I'll make a note of it on my list. :)

They are a bit different, the area you are taking the tests are in some town near manufacturing and silos, one of the courses I seen you are backing up between buildings of a street, some of the courses the cones are set up in different patterns since you are driving a conventional long hood truck. I'd love to be able to have a set schedule/set time, but with work, family, social stuff it's been challenging for me to have consistency. But I might experiment with that going forward, if I can keep up the consistent posting on this channel. I'm trying to see if I can post something daily for a while.

ATS mods are fully ready! As of yet, ATS Expansion hasn't been made compatible with East Meets Mid-North, but everything else is good to go and compatible. I'll send you the email in a few minutes. Mods you already use: ProMods Canada, Reforma Mexico, Reforma Sierra Nevada, Alaska: North to the Future, East Meets Mid-North, Coast to Coast, Project Better Arizona, Beyond for ATS. Mods you definitely should add since you're using all the others anyway haha: Ontario-Quebec. Mods that are a must add if ever made compatible with the ones you already use: ATS Expansion. You can take it or leave it, but I use it: Minor Urban Overhaul/Lite Urban Overhaul.
