Im truck driver irl. We have taglift. We drive to farmers And most the time its very narrow. And because the taglift gives you a narrow wheelbase front to end. Its easyer to manoeuvre. Also its easyer when reversing 😆

Thank you for that information its nice to here from real truckers you guys do a great job. I would imagine its difficult driving a big truck about especially on narrow roads and thanks again for your comment and stay safe buddy.

Thanks! I had no idea what all these chassis options were good for. I'm going to buy a 6x2 long taglift for my Scania.

Thank you, the information out there on tag/midlift is not really massive and this helped, I am still not sure what to take but I will probably have to try both to see which handling I prefer.

Well, let me try to explain a little better. Taglift is great for what it does not do. It allows you to conform with weight regulations without sacrificing handling or fuel consumption when you don't need it. That said, 4x2 should be enough (or ideal) for most, unless your cargo goes beyond 25 tons. At that point you will want a third axle on the ground, that's where 6x2 and 6x2 taglift starts to make sense. While many trailers do come with third axles, I would rather use the one on my semi. 6x4 is great if you want uphill performance for heavier cargo and 6x4 midlift does not only gives you improved control but it also allows you to lift that axle to save fuel and spare tires. Keep in mind, however, that you won't get the handling benefits of the taglift when that axle is lifted because your wheelbase will be longer. Too bad this game does not even bother explaining axle configurations, I wouldn't be surprised if many actual truckers didn't know that stuff.

Regarding the 6x2 Taglift setup, Volvo have changed the game for connecting/disconnecting the drive for taglift setup. Please check out their video. Certainly not implemented in SCS.

hi so if i use a midlift 6x2/4 and turn the wheels on the ground will it have the same performance as a 6x4 ?
@projectprogaming29804 жыл бұрын
It will have the same performance but 6x4 will have better traction on loose ground a 6x2 is 3 axles with one drive axle a 6x4 is 3 axles with two drive axles if you drop your lift axle it will give you better stability hope this helps and thanks for your comment.

@@projectprogaming2980 so the best for heavy loads is to use a 6x4 if u dont want to have a 8x4 truck
