What happens if I fully refund an order that is not cancelled? Do I add the refund amount on the refund section? or do I have to manually change the amount on my csv file?

@@paperandspark ok, the numbers are not matching up with my 1099 k. is it possible that etsy made a mistake? I have 3 cancelled/refunded orders but they added as part of my sales.

So.. do we not account for cancelled orders at all then?

The only reason to add them back to your spreadsheet would be if you want to match your gross revenue on your 1099K from Etsy. And if you did add them back, you'd want to subtract them right back out as refunds - so the net impact is zero.

Do you know how I can fix this? the partial refund is not showing up the right amount on the spreadsheet.

what about the etsy fees refunds?

The partial ones will be imported into your spreadsheet already with the partial refunds. If you have a full fee refund (from a non cancelled order), you can manually enter that on your Etsy fees tab.

I’m talking about full refund so like your video you typed in what the csv said, 43.99 but then do you have to subtract the listing/transaction fees credited to you? or is it already included in the monthly statement when you enter your fees thank you so much again!

Is there a reason you would not cancel a fully refunded order?

I don't cancel mine anymore because it makes bookkeeping harder 🤣 I'm not sure what the other pros & cons of cancelling or not cancelling are.

I think you would have to cancel an order if the order has a “ship by” date. It will still show in your “new orders” tab if you do not cancel and only refund.
