I've been working with SEO for about 2 years now and still learned a few tricks here. So even vidoes for newbies you can still learn something. Also I can't say how much newbies need to work on the seo. I make goat's milk products and every listing i put "goat's milk" but after learning about SEO I found out "goat's milk" was under 100 but "goat milk" was on the top of tge list. And after I change my sales double.

Hi Starla, thanks for your videos I’m new to all this, just been running my Etsy shop blind and unaware of where to start with optimising my shop or even what SEO means! So your videos are invaluable to me! I wanted to ask, what site do you think is the most helpful for me to sign up for - ETSYRANK, SEOBOOK, or ERANK? My profits are quite low so I can only afford to sign up for one at the moment. Louise x

Unfortunately this video is a bit outdated so I definitely recommend checking out my newer Etsy SEO videos, as SEO changes all the time. ❤ eRank and etsyrank are the same service (the name was changed), and as of Feb 1st of this year, I actually became their head of PR and marketing because I love the company so much and have used it for 4 years. eRanks number of tools and service is absolutely unmatched. 😃 SEObook contains Google search data, whereas eRank gives you data actually catered to Etsy, making it significantly more accurate. If you have any video/trainings requests for erank tools, please don't hesitate to let me know. eRank has been my favorite tool for years and I've recommended it long before I became a part of the eRank team, and it is the tool I still recommend to all of my own students and Alphas. ❤

Does there always have to be a comma between a keyword for it to pick it up? I have a title “Bring home the bacon piggy bank”, bring home the bacon is a good one to use, but do I have to leave off the piggy bank part for it to pick it up?

@Imaprincesso3145 жыл бұрын
does changing your picture of your item hurt you? I have an item showing up on the 1st page 4th item and I dont like the picture and I would like to change it but im scared to mess it up
@StarlaMoore5 жыл бұрын
Changing your image only affects your ranking if the image isnt intriguing enough to the customer for them to want to click it. In terms of seo, changing your images has zero affect on your SEO. This particular video is VERY outdated though so please be sure to check out my more recent videos using erank.com for the most up to date SEO information and tools. We no longer recommend SEObook because it hasn't been updated in years, whereas eRank uses real Etsy shopper data to know exactly what shoppers are searching for.
@sandeebarndoordesignsstudi42547 жыл бұрын
Starla I noticed you are using a / instead of a comma, between title description. Is this what you recommend?
@StarlaMoore7 жыл бұрын
Hey Sandee, I feel that the / tends to look a bit cleaner but it doesn't matter. Both will separate your keywords. In my opinion, commas make your listing titles look like a big run-on sentence. So it's a personal preference.
@sandeebarndoordesignsstudi42547 жыл бұрын

Hey Anja! We actually have a disclaimer in the video description that this method is a bit outdated. eRank.com is absolutely the best SEO tool for Etsy. We have a ton of tutorials (erank and EtsyRank, which are the same tool). The search volumes are based on real Etsy, Amazon Handmade, Ebay, Pinterest and Google shopping data so its is significantly more accurate and seobook was.
@ancha25025 жыл бұрын

Hi Starla, is all the info you give in this video still relevant; ie, nothing has changed since you made it in 2017? I thought I'd check before I go changing my titles and tags, etc. For example, where you split a long tail keyword into 'Christmas' and 'gift for boyfriend' (or something like that) because there are more than 20 characters; eRank would say that to have a tag with just Christmas isn't good. Thanks hun x

Both are baby related. Both are unique items/inventions that don’t exist outside my stores. What do you think? Keep them separate? And what about what Renee says about 10 upping? @StarlaMoore6 жыл бұрын
I'm actually not sure Nicola, but I will say that because we are simply pulling the "average" of searches from google, the location of the searches shouldn't really change much. You're basically just finding keywords that people are more likely to search, across the grid. So location shouldn't matter too much! :) I hope this helps!!!
